Thought of the day (2)

Jan. 2

2. Thought of the day: If Jesus's death on the cross was the most perfect display of Love and what Love is, then why do people today think it is a feel good type thing. Love, by observing He who did it to perfection, is by definition something that is meant to be sacrificial, painful, and beyond difficult... Dare I say, impossible without the living God.

Media today consistently makes love out to be a feel good and pretty thing. The media's love says the good times, easy times, and happy times are what make love so beautiful. God says that His love is made beautiful by the amount of sacrifice, pain, and difficulties that are required so that it can be true and unconditional.

My prayer for you today is that you can keep your eyes on the one who gave us the only perfect example of truly unconditional love no matter what distractions your day may bring. I pray that you will remember how we are supposed to love others. Sacrificially, humbly, and with no regards to ourselves, and with no thought of gaining something in return. That you will remember that these are the things that make love truly beautiful. Finally, I pray that you can feel God's overwhelming and unconditional love for you that floods your body with each beat of your heart, and that you may show others that Love by way of your actions.

Galatians 2:20

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.

Your words are so powerful! To be inspired by one who is 27 years younger than me is a rare thing. I've been through the wringer and God preserved me all the way, but your fresh voice has rekindled my fire!

Besides the "27 years younger" thing... That's the exact same thing I've been telling God. I'm honestly merely a tool that God is using to reveal his love and glory to others. It's the Spirit of God that makes a person wise, and I think I'm just ignorant enough for God to be able to use me without me asking any questions about why and just going with the flow of his love and vast majesty that flows through me and sometimes onto paper. haha But it is great to be able to see a result of that! God bless!
