Thought of the day (8)

Jan. 8

Thoughts of the day: With today's technology, if you want to know what music, movies, or hobbies someone likes, you just check their profile. No wonder why our generation so often finds themselves feeling distant from God or without God. We've lost touch with talking to people in our lives and asking to learn more about them....To learn more about God. We can't remember how to be personal.

Praying is TALKING to God. Praying without ceasing is looking for the small blessings of each day and thanking Him for every one no matter how small. How do you learn more about God? How do you draw closer to Him? You talk to him. Your honest about feelings, thoughts, hard times, and communicate what He already knows. Because He wants that personal relationship with us. He wants us to want him.

My prayer for you today is that you remember to talk to God today in a personal, honest, and open way. I pray that you will pray continuously throughout your day today, and if every day to come, so that you may feel the overwhelming peace and rest that God's constant presence gives. Finally, I pray you can be honest with God, whether it is anger toward him or praise toward him, He longs to have that honest relationship with you. This is because you are special to Him and he cares about you more than the universe He has created.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Phillipians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
