True Faith as only God See's It
True Faith must Come from Within
Growing up in the Bronx (NY), I know all too well how someone’s environment can keep them away from true success. I have been around drug dealers, drug users and the like and witnessed first hand how the two can keep you away from your dreams and your beliefs.
As a drug dealer you go ahead and profit from the weak minded in order to obtain that first car or house, but as a user you just risk sinking further and further into your drug of choice that your mindset is no longer your own.
Apparently neither one has the faith needed to change their lives, because one is just focused on power, while the other is just simply lost. We all have dreams, be it the drug dealer or the user, but if you don’t have faith those dreams can easily turn into a nightmare.
With that said we should always pray, believe and hope for a better tomorrow, but you also have to put action behind your faith. Getting God’s attention is fairly easy, but you must first be serious about your commitment to him. Praying alone won’t help you get closer to him. It’s a start, but you must take things further.
A message from James 2:18
If you believe in Christ wholeheartedly demonstrate your faith as well. If the drug dealer you must give up selling drugs and pray for forgiveness, and if the user you must do the same but go that extra mile and also seek a recovery program. This is a demonstration that you are giving your faith to God.
He can see your faith without a doubt and then and only then can you be blessed with victory in every area of your life thereafter.
~James 2:18, “You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit together hand in glove.”
