Turn a Wrong into a Right

Never let mistakes or wrong directions, of which every man falls into many, discourage you. There is precious instruction to be got by finding where we were wrong.
Thomas Carlyle

We all mess up don’t we? Welcome to life right. Well just remember this: It is in our biggest muck ups that the greatest opportunity to learn and grow occurs.

Sometimes we learn fast, sometimes slow. You know it took me four seasons to learn the correct way to plant trees (there’s a lot more to it than most people think). After that however I was a highly sought after planter because my quality was so high. So too it may be with you. Is there something in your life it seemed to take forever to learn, yet at the end of the tunnel you see you have truly mastered it and the time learning seemed like a blink of an eye?

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. John Quincy Adams

Sometimes we only need to learn the lesson once, sometimes we need to constantly relearn. For me it was trust. I am a very gullible man and suffered a lot for it. It has taken me forty years to learn to trust first and foremost in the Lord. Now it has prevented a lot of heartache and trouble in my life. Think of parents, they are always learning aren’t they?

“Then trust the Lord completely, don’t even trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” Proverbs 3:5 (Living Bible)

Prayer: Please Jehovah El Shaddai (God who is sufficient for the needs of His people) bless me with wisdom and discernment to always listen to learn and obey Your wonderful ways in my life. I ask this in the name of the most wonderful teacher, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Hi again teacher joe,

I really like your hub and I love Proverbs 3:5! You are not the only one who took many years to trust completely in the Lord....I also took so long, but our Lord Jesus is so patient with us...Isn't he amazing and wonderful!

All Glory to our God & King Jesus Christ!

Good job, Joe...voted up, useful, beautiful, and interesting. I'm dubbing your last line, not an "Aaronic Blessing" but a "Joe-ic Blessing!" ;) Grace and peace!

It's true, we take years to learn how much God loves us. Why? I wish I would have been much closer to Him when I was a young person. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for the interesting play on words Civil War Bob.

We have to go through our wild oats when we are young teaches. I truely believe we age gracefullt like good wine when we have Jesus as our winemaster. I am sure you are becoming a vintage bottle (i don't mean that in your age but in the sweetness of the wine).

God bless you all.
