The Wheat and the Tares
There is a false man-made religion propagating within the modern "church" system today. One of the deceptions of a false religion is that it “seems” right, but is actually a deceptive facade. Many have have embraced this counterfeit religion, which attempts knock-off the Way of Jesus Christ.
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. - Proverbs 14:12
Basing a religious system on what your leader, parents, or teacher have told you is not a true formula for embracing the true Gospel. Most of us take what we hear and imagine and accept it without question.
We are taught to worship God in this way, but is this true worship?
The Bible says we are to to worship God in Spirit and Truth.
Do we truly know what real truth is?
In Matthew 13:24 Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.“But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away.“But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also".“The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’“And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’“But he said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them.‘Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”
This verse is symbolic of two types of people who will propagate in the world.
Good Fruit, Bad Fruit
A tare can be defined as a noxious weed. Wheat and tares look alike until their growth cycle comes to an end; therefore, it can be difficult to tell one from the other. In the counterfeit modern "church" system, tares are considered “Christian” and look and profess to be followers of Jesus Christ. To tell the real from the counterfeit is at the end of their growth cycle. It is the "fruit" that distinguishes how the Holy Spirit utilizes the wheat, or the true genuine teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.“So then, you will know them by their fruits. - Matthew 7:16-20
The One Who Sits on the White Horses
No matter how well intentioned people may be; they could be hearing about Jesus, salvation, Good News etc.., but still be deceived by it. If a walk of life that is based on Scripture is preached, but is not fully understood, and only a “form” of it is followed, then worshiping God in Spirit and Truth is totally missed.
I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. - Revelation 6:2
This rider on the horse seems like Jesus Christ, but He is not. This is one of the four horsemen who is evil and does much damage. The intention is to deceive those into believing the counterfeit.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. -Revelation 19:11
The white horse and rider in Revelation 6:2, goes forth to deceive and conquer those who follow him. They are those who sounding spiritual with words and actions, but they do not know Jesus Christ. Both riders are on a white horses, but only one of them is Faithful and True.
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. -Romans 10:2
There are many who have zeal for what they believe in, but it is based on a deception. The only way to know the real from the counterfeit is weighing and testing it with the Word of God. That is where we find the truth and the true character of God. Jesus Christ is the one who died on the cross for our sins; it is only through Him that we find His revelation and truth.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15
God has given us the standard of His Word and He wants us to study it for ourselves so that we may have the discernment to know the difference between the wheat and the tares.
