Unexpected Moments Of Grace
When God Gives Us a Miracle
Sometimes when we are down on our luck and it seems as if nothing is going right, and that things could not get any worse, at that moment, God stretches out his hand and in this unexpected time touches our life with a miracle. These are moments of grace.
It may be something as simple as a childs hand on your shoulder, a strangers smile or an unexpected letter or phone call. It might be the sound of rain falling softly that calms your anxious mind and soothes your soul. The feel of sunshine on your face that is like God's kiss, a blessing from him to you.
Grace, defined in the dictionary as "The Love and Favor Of God For Man." What a beautiful state in which to rest. Basking in his favor with all that he provides, cradled in his love, safe and protected. How many times do we stop just to see the blessings bestowed? How many times in our busy day do we take for granted all that is given to us freely and lovingly?
It is our worst times that we remember and turn to him for solace. In these times he smiles down on us and takes us into his grace. The immediate response to a prayer, the things we ask for, not always believing that he will keep his promise to restore us and care for us. This is a unexpected moment of grace, a miracle, unexpected.
When we feel that no one cares and that we are alone, then out of nowhere someone someone calls or drops by. A moment of grace, an unexpected miracle. When we are depressed and all the sudden the clouds part and the sun shines through, it is moment of grace, an unexpected miracle.
When we are suffering and feel as if we can bear no more, then something happens that lifts our load and frees our souls, this is a moment of grace, an unexpected miracle. A mended relationship, a person missing in your life returned, or the gift of family, a moment of grace, an unexpected miracle.
So to all my readers, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! And in this very special time whether it be joyous or at times difficult , let us remember the most important moment of grace. The moment in which God loved us so much he gave the life of his son that we could have everlasting life and the forgiveness of our sins. A MOMENT OF GRACE, AN UNEXPECTED MIRACLE.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
