War's Affect On Children

The Real Victims

Our children are the most important resource we have.

As I was stumbling through the internet, I ran across some site's with little children in the midst of war. The picture's just broke me.

I feel that more people need to see the damage that war does to the children. They are the main victims!

This hub is going to be mainly pictures. They will be graphic; fair warning now.

We as mankind need to get over our greed and such and stop the fighting.

Do any of you that are at war in the name of God really believe that this is what God wants?

The Children

Isn't it about time we quit worrying about all the stupid crap? What about the kid's?

I say take all these S.O.B.'s who want war and put them in a cage with each other.

I don't give a crap who is at fault--stop the killing!

I truly think that the majority of Christian's, Muslim's, Buddhist's, and other religious faction's really don't want war. This is caused by just a few extremists in these religion's. I believe the majority of us no matter our religion are taught not to kill. To have peace and respect for our fellow man.

I have made many friends here on hubpages and many are not of the same religious preference as myself. They are still my friends-I surely don't hate them because they don't believe the same way I do.

I have at the end of this hub a very intense poll. Please be honest. I think this poll will give us a lot of insight.

This video with the song, "When The Children Cry" is very well made. Watch it!

Thanks for taking the time to read this hub and thanks to the great photographer's who took these amazing photo's. I am sure you can see more of their work if you Google their names.

Sad,  I wish we could avoid wars.     A Righteous thought and goal.  War is for defense only.

May I make a quote.  "Give me Liberty or Give me death!"  There are still higher causes to fight for and justify war, but in the last resort.

Should we have surrendered to the Japanese and Germans in WII, to avoid the war? Should we not have revolted against England and had a revolutionary war? How dare we. From today's standards, should we apolize to the British for revolting. Should we apolize to the Germans and Japanese for being bad people and standing up for freedom?

Many people gave their lives freely in war to defend our freedom and beliefs, under the name of God.  And let's not forget them.

Thank you so much for this Hub. I too am totally against war, not only for the effect it has on children, but certainly that is a major concern. As you say, the children are always the victims, they pay the price for the pride and greed of the politicians and the arms manufacturers.

One of the things that I feel very strongly about is that no war in history that I know of has ever actually solved the issues that it was faught over. Every war just creates more issues that divide people even more.

And every war leaves deep scars, not only on those condemned to fight it, but also on those who the fighting impacts on, especially the children, the old, the women.

Yes, the "stupid crap" is definitely not worth the death and maiming of children, or anyone for that matter.

Let's work together to end war and violence, and hopefully your Hub will do something to advance the cause of peace, and understanding and acceptance.

Love and peace,

Tony

Let's avoid all wars, if we can, but yet not be afraid to kick some butt, in the name of liberty and freedom, if they come against us or our allies.

I know there will be disagreements in discussions here. Let's try to keep them civil, please.

You are correct ecovery, some wars we probably had to fight, but the here and now?

Do we really need to have our troops spread all across this planet.

Why does man want to kill and hurt each other? Isn't love the key to all major religion's?

When I see pictures of these children that have been harmed in war, I get sick. What is wrong with mankind? How can we allow this?

Yes, I agree we should defend ourselves, but the primary goal should be peace and love for all mankind! Making sure that our fellow man has food and clothing and a home. If all man cared like that, what would the world be like?

I think each country has something to add to the whole world...We all have a purpose , a reason for being here and yet killing one another is way too important....to prove what? how dumb we are,how much we think we are better then Our God (which ever one is yours)...why not concentrate on the hungry people, the homeless, the sick, everyone is in this world together...

Yes there have been times ? I suppose that nothing else would work? but that was then and this is Now..."Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here, that is why they call Today the PRESENT" If we all work together as one under God...maybe we can stop this needless killing and dispair and hunger and diseases..Amen

Stirred me up I guess...thanks though for the chance to unload...G-Ma :o) Hugs & Peace

I also do have a battle going against child abuse.

Have you read all my stuff or do you just troll and start crap with people when you read something you don't like?

So what exactly more are you doing for mankind that I'm not?

This is what I expected after reading some of your other hubs. Post an honest thought and question and then get called childish names and attacked by some of your supporters.

You never answered my question. What exactly are you doing for mankind that is so much better than what I am led to do?

Huh Buddy?? Can you answer that?

If more people raised a stink about things that are wrong maybe some of the changes needed would be made.

You seem to be one of the Lebanites that just wants all brushed under a rug.

I would be willing to bet you have never lost someone to murder-much less a child. I hope and pray that you never do. This is how I feel led by God to handle it.

Just because you don't agree or it isn't "buddy's" way isn't going to halt me.

buddy, you are not the Higher Power that I will listen to. You say you asked a question. Sure didn't seem like a question.

Good for you that you went to college and your a big brother, I just hope that child you are mentoring doesn't adopt your attitude.

Good luck with your life.

By the way, it's really none of your business on my employment. If you read my hub's, I do have fun, but I also have an agenda. That is Justice for Jonathan.

If you really have such a problem with me, don't read it.

Gods will be done. This is what I pray for. Who are we to Question his will?

The word Christian means " Christ like ". Am I Christian? No. I am faithful in the TRUTH that god is in controle. Not me.

Any child that dies by the hands of man is a shame. A PITIFUL SHAME !! More and more, every day, I am ashamed to say I am a part of the human race.

Froggy I took your poll but I did not look at the photos or the vids. I find this kind of thing MORE than offencive. I prefer to " Change the Chanel". I hope you respect this. I do believe though, a person has to pick up thatdead wet squirrel and slappeople in the face with it before they realize,, HEY, THAT'S A DEAD WET SQUIRREL !! .

I pray your goal is met.

Sometimes it seems the golden rule is dead. Dried sun bleached bones discarded by man. Why is common courtesy so UNcommon?

If one man with the faith of a mustard seed can save the life of JUST ONE CHILD, then I want to call this man brother.

My Name here is solus vero. Latin for " only the truth ".

Good luck, BROTHER FROGGY.

Thank You solus vero. I totally understand not being able to look at these dreadful pictures. It is believer's like yourself that don't need to see, but like you say many need the slap in the face.

Thank you for your inspiring words--May God Bless You!!
