We need to be honest with them.
Do not sugar coat the truth
“Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 New International Version
I have read too many professing Christians state that Jesus does not hate homosexuals.
While Jesus does not hate anyone, He will not tolerate filth.
Think of it like this: there are two men. One man obeys the Masters word and suffers a hard life for it. The other tells the Master he will NOT obey the Masters rules and goes out and lives a life that disgusts the master. When the time comes to receive their reward, the Master who is justice, cannot say to the one who obeyed Him:’Okay, you have been a good and faithful servant. I know you have suffered for me, but I am a God of love so I will allow this man who mocked me, spit on me and indeed was the one to persecute you into Heaven because I am a God of love.’
Where is the justice in that? How would the one who suffered for the master feel about that? How could Jesus justify that?
We need to inform these people that the ONLY way into Heaven is by OBEYING the Masters word.
We are not to persecute them, Jesus never did.
Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19 New International Version
We are in love are to explain salvation to them.
If they accept, we are to help them understand and grow in Christian life and service. If they refuse we are to keep our distance from them lest they pollute us and draw us into damnation with them.
Those that teach that this behavior is okay with God are anti-Christ (against the teaching of God) and their damnation will be severe. They are to be thrown out of the church as Christ will throw them out of Heaven. It may be hard thing to do and certainly not popular, but if you want to obey Christ there are rules that are not to be broken.
“But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sisterbut is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. 1 Corinthians 5:11 New International Version
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside.
“Expel the wicked person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 7:11-13 New International Version
Prayer: Please Jehovah Rabbi (God our Teacher) please teach me how to open the eyes of those who are living a destructive lifestyle to know Your truth so that they may be set free. Please guide to accomplish this in a nonjudgmental way. As well my beloved open the eyes of the misguided or politically correct that Christ correct is more important for eternity that present day political correctness. In the name of He who didn’t shy away from the politically correct or lost, Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
