Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
The way we think will have a affect on our daily lives. I remember when I was first saved, my thought pattern was way off. We need to train our thoughts as we go on forward in our walk with Christ. Above the scripture tells us we need to think of whatever is true, whatever is noble and admirable and so forth. In today's world all the things we see and hear need to be replaced with things of God.
Our minds at times are targets for the evil one to get in and make us think of things that are not noble, things that bring us down and keep us from thinking of things of God.
1 Peter 1:13
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Action is a verb, we must prepare our minds for action, we must be self-controlled, setting our hope fully on the grace to be given us when Jesus Christ is revealed. The only way to do that is to know the Word, know God, and know Christ. Our minds can be like a storage room, what we put in it will help us or hurt us. So let's get to thinking about what the Lord has for us, let's start keeping our minds on Him, and only Him and His ways.
