What I Will Do On December 20, 2012
I must be honest; I was searching through the answers section of Hubpages and I found this question by SimeyC. He asked what I would be doing on the day before December 21st, 2012. That is the day that the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar predicts the world will end. I must first say that the calender was round, it had to stop somewhere.
My first thoughts were of the contest that Hubpages started at the first day of March; The Know It All Contest, but I realized Simey's question interested me quite a lot also.
I must first ask people a simple question: Why worry and fret over this prediction?
Could it be that you are concerned about all the wrong you have done in your life? That you may be headed to an everlasting torment of burning? Maybe you are concerned about your possessions; your car, your house and you money.
I used to worry about all that too.
Sounds From Hell
How To Not Worry
If you are worried because of the reasons I stated before this video; you should be!
First off, It is bad enough just not having God in your life and even worse it will be if you die that way.
As I said earlier, I am not worried about the end, even though I don't believe it will be December 21st, 2012. The Bible and Jesus said that no man, not even Jesus Himself, will know the day or the hour of the end. I say, "Let it come!"
So why don't I worry?
Because I asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of my life. It was that simple, but very difficult for many.
No, I'm not perfect and I still sin at times and make mistakes. I feel anger and I don't do it all the way the Priest down the road or the Minister up the street or the Rabbi on the hill thinks I should, but Jesus loves me and I have faith He has saved me from torment and everlasting pain.
How did I do it?
I bowed my head and I said Jesus, please accept me; please forgive me; please seek grace from Your Father for me. I am a sinner and don't deserve Heaven, but I beg Your Blood will wash my uncleanness away. Thank You Jesus for dying for me. In Your Name I pray. Amen.
I didn't have to build an altar and kill a lamb. I didn't have to say 30 Hail Marys and 100 Our Fathers. I just knocked on Jesus' door and asked and He opened and answered me with a smile, hug and a kiss.
So What I Will Do December 20th
Like always, I will pray, drink coffee and eat breakfast.
I may pull some weeds, plant some flowers or just read.
I might write a hub or take a walk.
I will probably call my Mom and my children. I will hug and kiss my wife and tell her I love her.
You see, it will be a normal day for this Frog.
Jesus In My Heart,
Love In My Soul,
Peace In My Mind,
Life Is Completely Whole.
Proverbs 3:5-6 puts all of this in a nutshell: Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
I don't know how this hub will fare in the contest; it seems many don't want to hear about Jesus and God. The contest doesn't matter though, I would rather see you all in Heaven, so choose Jesus, you'll be happy you did!
I will leave you all with this; as Spock would say: Live Long and Prosper!
