When God remembers you mighty things will happen

Updated on May 31, 2012

As human beings, we always tend to forget things. When I go out to purchase groceries, I always forget one or two items. I believe everyone experience the same thing. In a way, it is a good thing to forget the past. Else, we would be worrying about the sad things happened in our lives. However, it is important to remember three things always.

  1. Remember your creator
  2. Remember His commandments
  3. Remember His crucifixion.

If we read the word of God, there are several instances wherein God remembered His children. It is interesting to see that every time God remembers someone, great things have happened. This will pose another question. Does God forget His children to remember them? That is not true. God never forgets anyone. When the scripture says God remembered, it is the time to act upon. There is time for everything and God does things in His own way and time. So when God remembered people, He tells Himself that it is the time to take an action.

When God remembered Israel

If we read the book of exodus, chapter 2 and verse 24, it says God listened to the sufferings of the children of Israel and remembered the covenant he made with Abraham and Jacob. When God remembered Israel, a mighty thing happened. He delivered them from the bondage of Egypt and gave them the Promised Land Canaan. This process did not happen in a simple way. Several plagues haunted the Egyptians. Great miracles happened on the way. Red Sea was divided into two parts to offer a dry land for the people to travel across.

Today, if you are still in the bondage of sin, this is the time to ask God to remember your life. God can deliver you from the bondage of sin. If you are already saved, pray for your friends and dear ones and ask God to remember them. When God remembers your friends and dear ones, great things will happen in their lives.

When God remembered Hannah

Another instance of God remembering His people can be found in I Samuel chapter 1 and verse 19. Hannah had a good family. However, she did not have children. If we read the first chapter, we understand that she was a good lady and visited the temple every year to offer prayers and sacrifices. However, this time she came with a mission. She wanted to get a child and started weeping at the feet of the Lord. Then God remembered Hannah and a great thing happened immediately. She gave birth to the greatest prophet Samuel. In addition to that, she was blessed with more children. A woman, who was not able to conceive, later had several children. When God remembered Hannah, mighty things happened in her life.

If you are in the same situation ask God to remember you. It might not be an issue about children. Be it a financial crisis or a family breakup, ask God to remember your life and great things will follow. If your friends or family members are in any kind of crisis, pray this prayer on their behalf.

When God remembered Hezekiah

Another instance can be found in II kings chapter 20 and verse 3. When King Hezekiah was in death bed, he asked God to remember his life once. God accepted his prayer and granted him life. Not only did he become healthy, but also lived for 15 more years. This is what happens when God remembers your life.

If you are suffering with any kind of sickness, pray this prayer. Ask God to remember your life and heal your sickness. When God remembers, great things will happen in your life. If your friends or neighbors are sick, pray this prayer and ask God for a healing.

When God remembered the thief on the cross

When Jesus was on the cross, there were two thieves on either side. One thief made fun of Jesus, asking Him to save them from that punishment. However, the second thief scolded the first one and asked Jesus to remember him in His kingdom. Then Jesus answers him that the thief would also be with Him in His kingdom. That is the love of God.

If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal savior, pray to God and ask him to remember your life again. If you are already saved, pray for your friends and colleagues who did not experience the love of Jesus yet. When God remembers them, mighty things will happen in their lives.
