Why Are We Here? - A Revelation

Why Are We Here?

We are here to reach, to teach, to love and to care. We are the arms for the weak, the shoulders for the fallen and the hearts for those who need mending. We are the strength for those who need to collapse and grieve for their souls so they can rebuild and become strong. We are here for each other.

I just met someone who needs me. I was led to her by my dear friend Bill. She does not yet know she needs me but I know I need to be her shoulder and ear whenever she feels weak and unsure. I won’t tell you her name because she does not yet know God has brought us together. But He did and I embrace it with all my being.

I’ve had my share of downfalls in my life. Somehow and for some reason I’ve always been able to pick myself up, dust myself off and do better. I think now I know why. God has a mission for me and the test was seeing whether or not I recognized what was happening to me and how I went about dealing with and correcting each path.

I corrected then, I correct now and I will always do so because I cherish that with which I have been blessed.

Now I have something to share. And so I will.

My new friend, I hope you are reading this because I meant what I said about being there for you. I won’t question why I was led to you or why I feel so strongly about being by your side. It’s God’s Plan. I am glad I have finally seen His Plan for me.

Why are we here? To reach, to teach, to love and to care, to cry, to laugh, to hold, to support, to learn, to listen, to dance, to share and to do God’s Will.

I think I know what this is about. Even if I don't, the message in this hub is beautiful and so fitting for you to write. Carry on my dear friend. You have your mission, you have the tools....carry on!

love,

bill

Yes, Bill you do and I knew you'd be the first to comment. Thank you for sharing a new member with us. I caught her like lint on velcro! I just hope she's willing.

Great answer to the question, your last paragraph says it all. None of us can get through life alone without the support of others at some point. I hope she is ready and willing to accept your support. Good luck

Yes, that is exactly why we are here. When something such as this is revealed to you, and you act upon it through giving of your loving heart and expecting nothing in return, that is true, agape love at its best. Unconditional love of a friend in need. It doesn't get any better!

Very beautiful hub with an inspiring message in this world this day!

Voted up ++++ and sharing

God bless you. Hugs and love, Faith Reaper

Rosemay, Faith, Martin and Anna, thank you all for your encouraging words. I was compelled to reach out and I was compelled to write this piece last night. It just came spilling out. I hope it helps.

So well written. That saying: No man (or woman) is an island is so true. Not only are we surrounded by God's love, but also by the love of others.

I agree with your writing, especially these last few lines above. I look forward to reading more of your work, and now I think I know where you were coming from with your comment on my page. I think if you read more of my work (especially my spiritual writings) you will see we are of one spirit in many ways. GOD BLESS, Lisa Ps. voted up and shared...

Lisa, I appreciate your response but I don't appreciate you jumping to conclusions as you did in my comment to your poem. My intent was to support you, not chastise you as you did me.

Lisa Luv profile image

Lisa Luv 3 years ago from Conneticut, USA

Now I don't understand here, I apologized for misunderstanding you and decided after reading your Bio and this writing that we were a like spirits. I do not understand how you took it in a negative way at all. What I was saying is that now I understood where you were coming from on your original comment on my work. As well I enjoied your writing here and shared it and voted it up with high marks because I liked it. I really am baffled why you took it negative? Also I only say GOD BLESS in the spirit of pure love, and I mean it. Sorry again you some how misunderstood my comment, it was meant in pure love and appreciation.

bravewarrior profile image

bravewarrior 3 years ago from Central Florida Author

Lisa, you hurt my heart because you bashed me without first doing your homework, or at the very least, asking me to clarify my comment. Forgive me, but most people see me differently than you first presented in your two-part bash response to my heartfelt comment. I've been through hard times and have repelled everyone that came my way. That's why I leave the comments I do. I only leave detailed comments that are driven by my own life experiences, whether they be pain, joy or everything else you experience as you grow. I'm just trying to share my heart. I've led a hard life getting to where I am with myself. I like me now. I want to support those who are still working towards that point.

Maybe I'm too heavy for you. And that's OK.

Crystal, I feel a comraderie coming on! Thank you for your kind words. Bill has become a very dear friend of mine and is 1,000 percent supportive of my career. Anyone he recommends, I have to check out. You are a diamond in the rough!

I was here the other day and HP wouldn't allow me to leave a message...thus, I came back to let you know that I enjoyed reading this short yet powerful hub.

Great video clips (both my favorites).

The message is clear: "We are here to reach, to teach, to love and to care." ~

Thank you.

Love from the sky~

bravewarrior ~ "We are here to reach, to teach, to love and to care"

And all of that means, relationship. It is no small thing that the God of Abraham, the God of the Bible, the God who visited us in/as Jesus, reveals Himself as a triune being . . . God is one, but He is Father, So, and Spirit - in one. Perfect harmony, parts and whole . . . God is God of relationship and He created us in His image. The first thing God said after making man was "It is not good for man to be alone". Christianity, real, authentic, historic, Biblical Christianity, is all about becoming the best you God made you to be, through relationships.

bravewarrior profile image

bravewarrior 3 years ago from Central Florida Author

And relationships should not begin with judgement, Mickey. I agree with you. I was incensed at being judged and this hub was the result. Thanx for commenting. Gee, I guess a certain someone we both know got to ya, huh? :-)

"To reach, to teach, to love and to care, to cry, to laugh, to hold, to support, to learn, to listen, to dance, to share and to do God’s Will."

I would summarize all of this with a few words: "The purpose of Life is to serve."

In one way or the other we are all serving each other.

UNFORTUNATELY we have among us human parasites.

So many times I have felt 'needed' and true to my nature I have given 'my all', just to realized in time that I was once again the victim of an unscrupulous parasite.

So I have learned the hard way to listen to my gut feeling and not to my mind or heart. The mind will always rationalize, seeking a way to please the heart and kill the voice of our gut feeling.

I don't want to be negative, bravewarrior, but I just want you to know how many times I have followed my need (purpose) to serve right into the depths of sheer misery.

Great topic well presented :)

bravewarrior profile image

bravewarrior 3 years ago from Central Florida Author

Martie, I appreciate your comment and your honesty. I feel I serve also, although I do it without thinking; it's just the way I am. Judgement has no place on this Earth. That's God's job, not ours.

Hi Shauna how did I miss this one???Oh well better late than never I always think !!!

I also listen to my heart and soul but also during these past years I have learnt also to listen to my inner being and I did think that by today I have manged a healthy balance off all.

A wonderful share yet again my dear friend.

Voting 'up up and away' without a doubt.

Lots of love from my little corner of Wales.

Eddy.

Eddy, I feel so close to you. You and I are survivors, although our hardships differ. We could have gone one of two ways and we both chose the road of strength, courage and love. You're a sweetheart!

AWESOME LOVE By BERNARD LEVINE

To go to the ends of the world

to help a stranger

To give someone incredible kindness

they will never forget

To treat animals and all of nature

with respect and compassion

These are the things that give life true purpose.

To value your special uniqueness

as a beautiful child of God

To elevate your mind

with the higher value of integrity

To upgrade your living environment

planting seeds to enrich the soul

To give a child caring devotion

so they feel they are loved

To rise above your circumstances

with faith in the power of God

And with the purity of healing love

in your heart

your life will know no boundaries.

Beautiful Sha! In these words I see hidden a character, her name is Faith. Though she is a seer, she loves mankind and is fulfilling a purpose on earth. The parallel is uncanny my friend.

Your love and goodness shines! Your writing reflects the beauty of your soul. By now the person you met back then has probably become a good friend and you've moved on to help more. God bless.

Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

Mary, I love that you see Faith in this article. I hadn't even begun the story when I wrote this. I guess she was inside me all along and found her voice through me. Very interesting observation!

Actually, I never heard from the person I felt needed me once I posted this. I can't even remember her name now, but she simply disappeared once I reached out to her.
