Why Won't God Simply Terminate Hatred

By Brett Jordan
By Brett Jordan | Source

"God (If he does in fact exist) surely need's to get rid of hatred once and for all, because there is just way to much of it in this world still, and all it is, is a poison to stop us all from unifying", Original quote by hubpages author Mike Pugh aka Cloud Explorer.

My definition of hatred is - a self loathing or desire to due harm mentally to oneself, and or to that of someone else, which has the potential to extend its thrust into the physical realm.

Wikipedia's definition of Hatred - "Hatred (or hate) is a deep and emotional extreme dislike, directed against a certain object or class of objects. The objects of such hatred can vary widely, from inanimate objects to animals, oneself or other people, entire groups of people, people in general, existence, or the whole world."

War is definitely a end result of Hatred & no matter which side of the coin its ugly head decides to fall, "Can't god end all wars."

Can God do something to change things to peace and prosperity?

I pray for a day to come, where all walks of life can celebrate the fact that hatred has been terminated in the world, and a time when not a single soul on the planet still harbors such a dark terrifying force.

I truly believe in humanity much more, then I actually believe in my very own success in life, and I cannot tell what the future holds for me, if I am going to live or die next week, or continue to live on till next year, quite frankly no one does. All I know is, that I love this beautiful planet we live on, and all the things that god surely has manifested here for all of creation to experience.

I've never been a church goer, or a person who looked up much at the heavens above, but I have always stood my ground when it came to people showing signs of hatred towards myself, or that of anyone else, whether they knew me or not. I pray that god can grant us the spiritual power and blessings for humanity to finally bring fourth world peace, so to end all our differences of a human kind, and to help us put an end to wrong doings towards one another worldwide.

The future of what hatred can bring us, its very painful to think about, so lets end the possibility by spreading love, unity, faith, peace and forgiveness

Hatred Poll, give it a try!

  • No
  • Maybe so

Something's inherently wrong with us human beings

When I sense a wrong doing I simply don't look away and act as if nothing is the matter, or act as if nothing just occurred wrongly. To tell you the truth, I actually react as soon as I sense something that has been done wrong to anyone for that matter.

I think the ultimate test that god has handed down to mankind, is that he feels we should put a end to venomous hatred ourselves. Mostly since we've been the ones to muster up, such a horrid condition of the mind, and self destruction of each others human bodies with inhumane forms of hatred (if hate is brought down to a physical level which happens quite often). So its only right that we all be tested in such a manner, as to fix it ourselves so that some day war won't exist at all. If this isn't a sort of test given to us by the almighty, then maybe god would have made us all perfect, and we would of already achieved world peace long ago.

A familiar murder scene by lynch mob back before slavery was abolished, and unfortunately such hate still exist's till today

Image above refers to the lynching, Flash Poll!

Does this image above hurt to look at it and if so whats your take on it?

  • Its horrible to see I wish it never happened
  • So what it happens in many places today
  • It was a terrifying reality indeed but we must all learn from it
  • That is just unrighteous and inhumane I want hatred to go away
  • Of course it does, I would rather not see such things though
  • It doesn't effect me, I've seen much worse crimes of hatred
  • It happened long ago, deal with it, stop complaining already

Divine Intervention is in order here lets hope God makes it happen!

I've always thought about that part of life and religious teachings of the bible, how did many of the ancient folks get placed into the manuscripts in the first place? who knows, we truly need some of that divine intervention today. One things for certain the biblical writings were finely crafted to display truth, and nothing but the truth for those who definitely needed to read, and learn from its teachings.

I just wish that many belief systems weren't created to outcast certain people during the times when they were in fact crafted by man himself and his so-called inspiration from god. At such a beginning when these beliefs started out it seemed more like a product of selfish manipulation by that of the ruling class of people, who actually also practiced hatred while hiding behind the protection of their beliefs for many years.

Now depending on the type of religious system or governing body over that of the people, lets say Christianity for instance, which was used as a sort of vice to control the masses of people in Europe and in America (Old testament) at one time, it was quite O.K. to do wrong to those who they had once considered to be beast of burden, and yes it was written in the old testament. But the very fact was they were actually human beings, and the image above (Duluth lynchings of black men on June 15, 1920) is a harsh memory but a definite side effect of a deadly, inhumane, hateful system of slavery that indeed did exist in America of all places, it was alive, breathing its fiery fierceness, and was real as ever once upon a time.

The potential proof that there truly is a god lies here I do believe, and may be the very fact that actual slavery has ended, and humanity has come to terms with such an ugly dehumanizing moment in time, because we've quite frankly come a very long way from such bitter senseless hate. So now we are in dire need of a much larger push, towards making such a thing as hatred of self, and that of others to simply vanish from off the face of this globe and utterly be destroyed.

In any event, I will continue to pray for such a reality as brotherly love and peace worldwide to come into existence. I will also join forces on the ground & online with all the angelic beings on this planet, whom all seek such ways of kindness to occur for a much more prosperous future for us all. This is all in hopes to bring fourth a better life, simply by writing words of inspiration, all about positive subjects to take down any, and all forms of hatred using pure loving kindness, generosity, compassion, and righteous truth.

This form of hate was used on Jesus Christ, so history repeats itself once again, lets pray for such hate to come to an end

Going to Church

I was born and raised Catholic, but I don't go to church regularly, I still do believe in God, and I regard him as our creator, the one who has placed all things into existence, and the one who ultimately decides when things will come to an end.

I also believe that he has had a plan for a great deal of time for humanity, and I've studied some of the bibles teachings as well as many other religious texts, but not to the full extent that a daily, faithful, practitioner has gone to, or that of a preacher, or a pastor. In any event it doesn't take a religious genius to know right from wrong, you can see it and sense it, and literally taste it in the air when the heat! is on and things in life got out of control.

The funny thing is many of my life experiences have been somewhat sewn into and inscribed into the biblical scriptures prior to my birth, and it seems most of them are a exact replica, or should I say my life experiences on earth have mirrored that of many biblical lives, and or tales that its spoken of.

Many of the day to day personal revelations a person actually experiences, or witnesses with their bare eyes, is something of a biblical scaled proportion, but isn't referred to as such today. Now for gods sake, let us pray that man kind can find a way to break free from being enslaved to hating on another, it is time for us all to grow up, and learn to get along.

Money is the new root and fuel being used to generate modern day evil empires, and to harness corrupted regimes, we cannot give in to such a temptation. We must denounce those who do wrong, by forgiving them first, and possibly showing them love as well, because it is the only way to diffuse hate for sure. Punishing those for doing wrong is the penal system, but it doesn't extinguish hate for good, it simply places bandages on its leaking wounds.

High up above being touched by God's Peaceful loving Grace! Prayers go out to all those who've lost loved one's to hatred

Humanity must change, I think god will have to put an end to hatred caused by man, since we repeat history over and over

My take on this actual reality of hatred being removed by god himself, is that many of our human lives have already been lived out 100's of 1000's of times over through all of our ancestors, and we are simply repeating such a human experience as it all once had occurred in years past.

This repetition happens immediately after each child is born, and enters the world, the only difference in things then becomes. Where we perceive of our reality different from that of the lives, of those who've gone before us, and how we attempt to change the physical things we engage with daily, which eventually leads to our unforeseeable future.

The thing though is, that our modern day experiences are far to close, to our very own all watchful eyes as a society, and it isn't at all easy to consider any of our current experiences, to be worthy of a biblical prophesied experience, or that of a scriptural one.

Well, I also think that many of today's people, such as many great thinkers, philosophers, poets, artists, preachers, popes, doctors, humanitarians, and even some scientists who's discoveries have changed the world as we know it; would have all been looked at as miracle makers due to their amazing achievements, and could have easily been placed into the record books for eventual biblical teachings of their super natural gifts, if much newer updated versions were to be transcribed today in our modern era of perpetual hate.

Why doesn't God stop the hatred? A very good question, I believe hatred is one of those things mankind must understand is wrong and why it is wrong and eventually evolve from it, unfortunately it seem to be taking an awful long time.

The bible is amazing, but we can use it to justify whatever we wish, the bible has been used by both sides in most wars. As remarkable as the bible is with all its wisdom, it was written by man with all his prejudices and in another time. CloudExplorer, a remarkable piece of work, very thought provoking. Well done.

Thank you tobusiness for reading, you have captured the heart, and true essence of my hub here, and I'm so glad you located it. Life is tough, but people make it much more difficult than god set it out for us to be.

This is the part I pray can be taken away by god himself, and as they say we have sinned prior to birth, which they call original sin, I always hoped it wasn't so but from the look's of it I think the bible is true about the whole sinning part.

I just wish people can stop being so hateful, and let us all breath easy, and so we can get on with enjoying life and how it was meant to be.

I don't think it matters who you believe in above hatred will always be here as it always has. Which is a great shame but there's not much that can be done about it.

Voted up useful and interesting, Joyce.

Yes @writer20, I know it seems impossible for hatred to go away for good, but if god does in fact exist well then what's the big deal, isn't he all about the good of all mankind, or are we here just to be played around with until final judgement.

Just think about it, because it doesn't make much sense to me why he allows us to suffer so much if he's actually in existence.

Its definitely a tough one to think about indeed, and the reason why I wrote the hub besides the obvious inspiration to end hate itself. Thanks for the vote and for paying my hub yet another visit.

@Mhatter99 , the funny part about this life is that all we know has came from man's own thoughts on everything, and so we can only interpret things as others have perceived and how mankind envisions everything to be.

Great Hub,

I use to wonder why God just did not make evrything flow smoothly and peacefully when I was younger. Through my own studies and experiences I also came to the conclusion that humankind is getting tested, on an individual and group basis. Hate is one emotion that I want no part of, but I know that since we have free will we must choose to replace hate with love. We must all choose to replace hate with love, if God terminated hate for us, then we did not really learn how to exist in peace with one another by choice.

Best wishes

@Darrell Roberts, I see you have had much of the same thought I have had, and still to this day have. Its always interesting to see what other people think, and feel about such subjects in life as this.

Thanks for the visit and its nice to meet you on hubpages.

God gives us all free will so that in that freedom we can praise him with all sencerity. That was our true prupose of creation. To praise him. Sadly satan's intrusion into the world often manifests itself through hatred, using the weakness of man to do his work. I do not subscribe to the idea that we are with sin before birth. I believe a child is born to this world innocent. It is the inherent weakness of mankind due to the freedom we have been given, and the influence of evil through satans loose reign upon the earth, that eventually brings us all into our sinful nature. We have a bridge to God now, and away from the sin that breeds such things as hatred, through the sacrifice of Christ. I think God longs for peace and love in the world and he has already intervened by creating us with the tool needed to overcome hatred. That tool is the same tool that also allows us to succumb to it. That tool is freedom. Keep spreading the desire for a peaceful world CloudExplorer. In doing so you are indeed exercising your freedom to do good. Interesting and thought provoking words. I found myself going in my mind to the John Lenon song "Imagine" as I read your work. Peace and God bless you.

@Howie Watts, Yes indeed so you are right about our free will my friend, its brought us a great deal of sorrow to the planet for our viewing experiences of history, and physical body ones as well that many people have unfortunately suffered time and time again, but its also brought us some pretty awesome times. Us humans have truly learned to celebrate our many freedoms, and great victories as well though, so all hasn't been lost.

You definitely have been inspired to respond to me in such a well defined manner, and that was the other purpose of my hub here, to inspire purposeful conversation, so that others can some day make use of such a forum of sorts.

Thanks for fully absorbing the truest essence of my hub here, and I'm happy it has been pleasing to you to even think of writing back to me in such a sincere and kind way.

Cloud, I'm not a preacher by no means and you took this rant to many levels.. many say Hate makes a man stronger.. but is it worth it? Yeah voted up and interesting and also this would make for a good open forum bless you bro :) Frank

Thanks Frank once again for showing here as well, hatred is pure ignorance to me, plain and simple, love is the truest strength bearer in my opinion, but it can be weak as well if love has been lost.

Now if a person loses hate what surfaces from its depths is love once again, this is what I learned from developing a form of inner strength from self love, and love of family, as well as love of strangers or friends.

I feel so nice that I read this hub on my birthday!

Once in a while we have such a great hub... which comes forward and urges us to think deep and retrospect the entire aspect of our existence...

hatred... well defined and well quoted my brother...

Hatred is the root cause of all strife, the base for all discrimination.... ans should be one the prime objects ( abstract indeed ) to be removed from the bodies of men and other living things...

I join in your urge to god and request him to grant your wish

Thanks for reading and sharing with me bro and on your birthday I hope you have a good one.

@dghbrh, Yes indeed a paradise would be awesome, but it wouldn't extinguish such things as struggle for success, and thirst as well as hunger. So that might be exaggerating a bit much, but it does definitely sound good though.

Thanks bro for the cool comment, the visit, and for sharing with me.

Dear Mike,

I am grateful to Rahul for leading me to another thoughtful and comprehensive essay from you.

From your mouth to God's ears... I will also continue to hope and believe that man will universally exercise their free will in a positive, productive and harmonious manner towards each other and the earth we were given to live on.

Outstanding work-- voted UP & UI. Hugs, Maria

Mike, I agree with your thoughts here. The older I get the harder it is to just sit back and watch the hatred world wide without end. When you see children starve and suffer in wars, animals abused, mankind tearing mankind apart everyday, it gets harder to fathom religion. Keep up the good work.

Voted up and awesome. I believe God is watching over all and He in His infinite wisdom will know when the time is right to step in. I think He may be hoping that everyone will come to their own senses in time but I don't see that happening. If only people would look at the world as God does. We were all created equally and we all are basically the same and as in God's eyes we are colorless. It would be so great. Hoping that hatred soon is a thing of the past. Thanks for this great, eye opening hub. Passing it on and God bless.

Hi @tammyswallow thanks for that cool comment, yes indeed it does hurt to watch such occurrences happen, and it was much worse for me when I was in the US Navy, and I can imagine how hard it was for the soldiers, and marine who engaged in combat in Iraq.

Lets hope the Lord can bring an end to all wars, and especially those that were fueled by greed & hatred alone.

@Gypsy Rose Lee hank you Gypsy for checking out my hub here, its tough to deal with such harsh realities us humans face, or have faced at one time, but with strong faith in God we shall over come all these adversities, and difficulties of a human kind.

I have faith in humanity for sure, and I just hope god's on out side in the end and hasn't yet turned his back on us all.

Hi Mike

The cycle of hate must be broken. The more we hate the more we fuel the hatred.

Instead of continuing to create weapons for hate, prejudice and greed , we need to create instruments of peace, love, forgiveness, respect, care and compassion.

I pray that God intervenes because we can't eliminate hate on our own.

Voted up and away!

Take care :)

Yes @Sueswan, I hope humanity can learn some how to create more things to help people rather then do harm by them, love is surely what need to spread and in a large abundance if it.
