"Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me."

Jesus Stands at Your Door and Knocks
Are you tired of being depressed because life hasn't gone your way?
Many people come to a realization in their life that things are not going to get any better. In fact, some people are depressed because they fear that life is going to get worse. After all, the saying is: "it's all downhill from here."
Without a spiritual side to life, it would be pretty depressing. The only thing you have to live for is how to improve life from day to day. That could include things like raising children, or taking care of people. But those things aren't the real reason for living. The real reason for living is to love God and to worship Him as the Creator.
Many people don't get that.
If God (Jesus) was to knock at your door today, would you let him in?
Jesus wants a relationship with you. The only problem is that you have to choose to let Him into your life. If you notice the three pictures (above), Jesus is knocking at the door. You may notice that there are no doorknobs. This is not an error in the paintings as much as it is a simple truth. Jesus will not force his way into anyone's life.
From the beginning, God gave man free will to choose God if he wanted. God is not a puppet-master, secretly pulling at people's strings from above. Every person on this Earth has to make a choice to choose God, or live according to his own standard.
Be careful. A life without God runs its course, and you find yourself at the end of your life with nothing. People come into this world with nothing, and leave this world with nothing.
The only difference is that people that love God go to Heaven when life on Earth is over. People who hate God choose their own path to Hell.
God Doesn't Offer Fire Insurance
There is no such thing as "fire insurance." One cannot simply say "I am a Christian" with the hope that these simple words get them a free pass into Heaven. Heaven is a place where God is worshiped on his throne. If you do not worship God here on Earth, there is no chance that you will make it to Heaven.
God Doesn't Force Anyone to Believe
God made a choice to give man free will, and God never goes back on his word.
Because of this, God cannot force his way upon his life. Your life is your life, and the choice is yours. At the end of your life, you will stand before God, and he will read names from the Book of Life. If your name is not in there, it doesn't look good for you.
Hell is a Nasty Place
In Mark 9:48, Hell is described as a place "where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched." Hell is not just some enjoyable place where they serve cold coffee to you. Have you ever had a worm living inside of you, eating away at you and all you can do is to experience the nagging pain of a parasite feeding off of your body. That doesn't sound fun to me. Hell is much like that. Intense pain all the time with plenty of time to think about "why I never had time for God."
Look, if you don't have time for God, you better make time. Stop posting that you are bored on Facebook, and do some research on your own about the Bible. Seek God. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
Jesus Can Save Your Soul
Jesus can save your soul from going to Hell. You have to be willing to let Him into your life. He will not bust down your door and drag you out into the light. That's not how it works.
If You Let Him in...
If you hear God's voice, and open the door, He will come into your life and save you.
You don't have to change your life first. God does the changing. We all have problems, and some people try to hide them. They aren't fooling anybody.
The moment you trust in Jesus, you will be given the Holy Spirit to guide your life. Start reading your Bible. Find a local church that teaches the Bible and believes that it is inerrant.
There is One Chance at Life
You only have one chance at life. There is no promise that you will die of old age. You could die tomorrow from something unexpected. If you know that you are not right with God, now is the time to get right with Him.
He will save you and change your life forever.
