Witchcraft - The Misunderstood Old Ways
The Wiccan religion is largely misunderstood, especially by those who are followers of the Christian faith whom are sadly misguided into believing that Witchcraft is the worship of “The Devil.” Those who take the time to research and educate themselves find that, in actuality, Wiccans do not even believe in any entity known as “Satan” or “The Devil,” nor any other being of complete and total evil.
The Wiccan tenet actually states: “An’ it harm none, do what thou wilt.” The belief being that any one who breaks this rule is held accountable by the threefold and tenfold laws, also known as “Karma.” To simplify this term, if someone goes out into the world and kicks a dog, for example, that person will receive a negativity in turn three to ten times worse than the negativity they themselves have projected. This may or may not be a kick. For this, as well as moral reasons, the majority of Wiccans would not harm a flea, physically nor through such means as “hexes” and “curses.” While there are voodooists and black magicians on other paths, Wiccans stay in the white, using their Magick for healing, fertility and other positivities for the greater good of humanity.
Wiccans worldwide seek to live in harmony with Nature and all beings encountered along the way, to flow with the ever-changing seasons and the phases of the Moon. To sum it up, Edain McCoy says, “When One defines One’s Self as Pagan, it means she or he follows an Earth or Nature religion, one that sees the Divine manifest in all creation. The cycles of Nature are our Holy days, the Earth is our Temple, its plants and creatures our partners and teachers. We worship a Deity that is both male and female, a Mother Goddess and a Father God, who Together created all that is, was or will be. We respect Life, cherish the free will of sentient beings and accept the Sacredness of all Creation."
"The Christian and Judaic faiths that now dominate Western society and our perspectives on the nature of religion, social development and cultural values are newcomers compared to the ancient spiritual heritage they banished through civil laws. But the old spirituality refuses to evaporate, and it is in the connections between the old and the new that we may find remedies to modern religious conflicts. By understanding from whence we have come, we can determine where we will go, and the path to true religious freedom is through knowledge of the past and hope for the future."

The Wiccan Rede:
Bide ye Wiccan laws ye must,
in perfect love and perfect trust.
Live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.
Form the circle thrice about, to keep all evil spirits out.
To bind ye spell every time, let ye spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye, light of touch, speak ye little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon, singing out ye Witches’ Rune.
Widdershins go by the waning moon, chanting out ye Baneful Rune.
When the Lady’s moon is new, kiss your hand to her times two.
When the moon rides at her peak, then ye heart’s desire seek.
Heed the North wind’s mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the West, departed souls may have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, accept the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in ye cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Elder be ye Lady’s tree, burn it not or cursed ye’ll be.
When the wheel begins to turn, soon ye Beltaine fire’ll burn.
When the wheel hath turned to Yule, light the log the Horned One rules.
Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady blessed be.
Where the rippling waters flow, cast a stone and truth ye’ll know.
When ye have and hold a need, harken not to others greed.
With a fool no season spend, nor be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind ye threefold law ye should, three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is anow, wear the blue star upon thy brow.
True in love ye must ever be, lest thy love be false to thee.
In these eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill,
‘An ye harm none, do what ye will.
"The Wheel of the Year is ever turning, through Sun tides and Moon tides, through seasons and harvests, for plants, animals, and people; for all life moves within the Wheel of the Year from life to death to life again. The balance and the harmony of the dance of life is the spiral dance of energy eternal."

"LaDy SkAnDaL'z Happy Place"
Lost between two Worlds unknown,
Floating out there all alone,
There are some really cool people, or didn’t you know?
They just go along with the flow,
Exploring places others may never know…
Purple skies, filled with rainbows and gold,
In a Land where it never gets cold;
There are unicorns and fairies, too,
All hiding away from you…
You have to be One of the chosen few,
To see such an extraordinary view;
You must be pure-hearted, gentle and kind,
And able to speak the language of rhyme…
Then this Happy Place you might just find.

"The Key to World Redemption"
The Third Eye sees everything:
That which is,
That which was,
That which will be...
Even that which is evermore nonexistent can be seen.
Open up your Third Eye,
See the World from another side;
Open up your Third Eye,
See the Secrets that rest inside...
These are the Mysteries through which we are redeemed.

"Great Lady, Great Lord, united in the Dance of Life, Death and New Life, stretch out your hands to the people of your creation that we may put our hands into yours to be pulled up from the depths of ignorance into the Light of Wisdom. Look gently upon us, for we are one with you, in form and energy, and you are found within us all, So Mote It Be."

Religion has separated us for entirely too long. It's now time to lay our differences aside and come together as a society beyond religion, a society that does not need books, scriptures or verses to know right from wrong. I am NOT writing this Hub to seek converts to the Craft. To do so would not only be going against my oath, but also would be doing exactly what this Hub is to stand for; true freedom of religion in the belief that all religions are branches and stems from the same core truth. We are here, we're alive and we've existed since the beginning of time. What is there to dispute about? Save the drama for Jerry Springer and let's move on into the future...
The future can be whatever we want it to be.
This Hub is a work in progress...I'm sorry it is not 100% yet. My babies came home from school :)
