Yes I am a Christian

Let me start off by saying, that I love God with all my heart, and I try my best to live a life that would be pleasing to him. I am a Christian who believes, everyone should be treated fairly, and just. God wants us to love each other, and treat others with respect. Which is why I don't waste any of my precious God given time, hating others, or thinking that I am better than them because I am a Christian. We can not possibly lead people to God by preaching hate, or yelling obscenities. God doesn't want us to use our beliefs as a way of making others feel inferior.

It states pretty clearly in the Bible how we are not supposed to judge others, but lately that seems to be all I ever see or hear anymore. I have met so many so-called Christians, always cursing and screaming obscenities, they way they talk could make a sailor blush. Putting down everyone, but the few, who they see fit to be in their small circles. It is never okay to bash someone, because they are different than us. God never gave us a free ticket to bash others, as a matter of fact, he wants us to love everyone.

So yes I am a Christian, and proud of it, but I also believe in equal rights for all people. I do not pick my friends, based on their beliefs, gender, race, or their sexual preferences. People have the freedom to believe and do anything they want to do. We can voice our opinions, but we should never judge, or put them down because their values, and opinions are different from ours. The bible has taught me to love, and respect everyone no matter how different they are from me.

God loves, and helps even the worst of sinners, through his teaching, I have learned that other peoples sins, are no different from my own. In Gods eyes, a sin is a sin, so judging people would make me a hypocrite. I am not perfect, so from time to time, I still say things about others, that wouldn't be pleasing to God. But you will never hear me judge them for the choices, they make in their lives. Besides I have made enough bad choices in my own life, which I am sure many others have as well.

What I am trying to say, among all this rambling, is love others, regardless, and unconditionally, like God wants us to.

Good for you! This is the way ALL religious/spiritual people should behave. Voted up and beautiful. It's so wonderful to meet a rose in a garden of weeds such as yourself.

This is so true! Unfortunately, many Christians have the attitude that if you respect the beliefs of others and you have a more subtle way of spreading the Gospel than they, you are somehow incorrect in your walk with Christ.
