You Decide The Season

It seems we rush

right past the signs

preoccupied with other minds

leaving loved ones

in the dust behind

but we didn't mean it.

Life is fast

or at least seems so

but we decide

the pace we go

the pace we need

fast or slow

we conceive it.

again and again

until we've seen it all

but it isn't about

the weather

it's about if

we can make our lives better.

It feels sometimes

we arrived too late

that we want people

to see we're great

the hurry up

then have to wait

consign ourselves

to the stream of fate

when we need to.

But life is slow

don't you know?

It all depends

on how you flow

if you wait for summer

you miss the snow

that blows.

again and again

until we've seen it all

but it isn't about

if you lose or win

it's more about...

(you fill that in).

Life is what you make it

Life is what you take from it

I loved this poem and think it is one of your best! I love the tree pictures that go with it. I loved your (you fill that in). I am sending this to my friends.

Thanks sis. They just come out. I didn't think this one was all that great but really glad you liked it. I did like the (you fill that in) part. But make it rhyme!!!

I agree too. A different style. I really liked it. The pictures make me want to paint!
