You can’t see me and yet you want me to follow your ways-Ways in the Christian religion
Temple
Wake up- your body is the temple of God
I am sick and tired of would be “Christians approaching me with an invitation to their church. Without inquiry as to where I come form and what I believe in, they are quick to judge and tell me to “come and be saved”. The only salvation I need is from you and your church. The bible state that ones body is the temple of God. If that does not seem clear to you, it means, I can worship God at any time and anywhere, without need to come to your church and donate! Wake up and smell the coffee-church in this light is nothing but a scam.
Who am I to you?
You can’t see me and yet you want me to follow your ways
The day is August 25 in the year 2011 and I am pretty much irritated by the world’s lack of perspective in terms of religion. The “Christian religion” on the streets in particular. Why am I the bad guy? Why do you not want to hear my story? Why do you judge me before I have uttered a word?
Judge not
As mentioned above, there is this condescending approach to the whole aspect of religion by “Christians” if you are a passer by. It seems not to be about God anymore but what denomination you belong to. By the mere fact that you have asked me to come to your church and be saved, you have asserted two facts, either the church I belong to is no good or I do not belong to a church, therefore by your standards am not Christian. My advice is you pack up your pamphlets, go back home and meditate on what “Judge not” means.
Lead by example
I have seen and met great people who I have felt so curious about that I have asked what the principle in their life was. This is because without calling me to their church r preaching to me, their command showed a dignity that warranted my respect back to them. A gentleness that made me bow, a perspective of the world that was selfless. When I see some of my “Christian” brothers and sister, I just feel like I am coming up against a skewed judge. I ask you; I implore you, to lead by your actions and not the might of your voices or church.
Conclusion
I do not mean to offend those genuinely following the Christian faith (hence the quotes though out this opinion). There are many good people out there who believe in good and try to do good as much as they can. Amongst them are those who do not believe in the existence of God. I believe in God and would feel very comfortable to share my faith with out being asked to join a church or being pre-judged in some way.For those who think their church is best, for those who have no respect for the passer by on the street who you neither know nor care to, for those who think they are holier than thou, all I can say is, you are way off the beaten track. If you are into the teachings of Christ, you can serve a better purpose in life than being used as an instrument of judgement by your church.
