Themselves. All acts of Love are ultimately acts of self sacrifice, because it involved overcoming selfishness to care about others.

In pretty much every conception, God &/or Jesus are depicted as loving, erego self sacrificing.

Sacrifice is usually a lose. What did either of them lose?

God does not need to sacrifice anything. He could create anything he like by wishing it.

Jesus, a great teacher who understood the spiritual universe, wanted to make huge impact on mankind with a statement of love. Jesus asked for this opportunity and God granted him.
Jesus had the power and God's permission to walk away from the crucifixion at any point.

God will never impose such a thing on Jesus and anyone. God Almighty is very capable of saving mankind without any help from Jesus. They are those who believe that God Almighty needs some one else like Jesus to save mankind.
These groups have no idea who God is or cannot fathom God infinite powers. This is purely a Christian myth.

nothing. but i'll bet you will get lots of glorious answers.people will say jesus gave his life which even if jesus was real, he was supposedly resurected so he didn't even give his life. how is it a sacrifice to give something you can make again with a snap of your fingers? things that make me go hmmmm.

If Christianity is false, then the question is mute, for it did not happen. If it is true, whatever we apply as answer is insufficient. If He is not God, there was no sacrifice, there was fraud. If He is God, how do I presume, to measure or judge what He has done. ( If ) holds many complexities for such a little word and it may hold immeasurable consequences. Considering the implications it is a question left best to individual faith.
