I really don't know of there's a non-speculative way to answer this question. I personally don't subscribe to this point of view, but here's what I observe: Relationship is an existential necessity of humanity. If we are all "one" then by extension we only have a relationship with "ourself" which does not really work. Therefore, I would think that the existential requirements of being human would necessitate another "connected mind" which the human "connected mind" could engage with in relationship.
As I said, I don't believe in this, but if it were the case I would imagine that either relationship is not an existential necessity or, allowing that it is, the situation would necessitate something like the above.
