    Make her feel special. For me it is when my husband offers a foot massage or rubs my neck. Or ask what you can do for her, sometimes women think men will know what they want and won't tell him.
    As for true symbol of love, I personally prefer roses but only if they come in a pot so I can plant them in my garden :-)

    I don't think any material thing can be a true symbol of love, because it's very easy for someone to buy something for someone, and quite another to love them unconditionally. Roses and chocolate are a nice token to say "I've been thinking about you."

    A true symbol of love is a willingness to sacrifice.  To give and expect nothing in return.  To give without a reason except that you want to.

    Love is taking action to show that ou care for the other person.  People are so busy now a days love could be finding the quality time to share with your loved one.
