   That is really your own personal choice. There are many paths to follow or carve out and they all lead to the same place -- fulfillment, enlightenment, self-growth, and spiritual growth. Walk in Peace and Harmony.

   Religion? No. Faith, yes. We all need something to hold on to. I am of no religion but that does not mean I am not spiritual. I have my faith and within that faith there are 'rules'. My faith is rather organic and for me it works. When I stray away from what I believe, things get messy. When I 'break a rule' it comes back and bites me.

   I don't.
   Live and let live.
   Treat others as you would like to be treated.
   Follow laws and ethical behavior and be a kind human and good neighbor.
   
   That about sums it up for me, I think.

   Does that mean, "do i require religion to be alive?"
   
   Cause if so, NO!
   
   
   
   Does it mean, "should you follow a particular religion?"
   
   Then i would answer that it is best to be educated on various religions in order to find out whether religion speaks to you in any way. Since the basis of religion teachings are all the same in theory (do good, what goes around comes around, etc etc etc) exploring various religions to seek if they reach out to you beyond the basics i think is important in life.
   
   It gives perspective, opens the mind to the thought of something outside of the box, and gives way to your mind considering the same in other aspects of your life.

   If you believe in God, if you believe in heaven and hell, if you believe that to be in hell there is suffering and wish to avoid suffering, then I suggest and recommend you become a "Christian" Simply speaking this is merely following the teachings of Jesus Christ and learning to live as Jesus recommends, nothing more. Jesus two Commandments, are: Love God and Love your neighbor, pretty simple to follow. Jesus teachings are found in a book known as the Holy Bible. This is a book though written by the hands of man, is inspired by God, God's own words spoken to man and recorded by man.
   
   The various denominations of "Religion" establish their own "Doctorines" their own laws, rules and regulations, some of which may not agree with Jesus teachings through the Holy Bible.

   Hi. It all depends on what you require from that religion. if its a question of life after death then religion is not that important as relationship. The relationship with the being that created you.

   You'd have to believe/have faith in the religion which you choose.  My religion's name (Catholic) has been dragged in the mud by the crimes of men posing as "priests".  I will not be ashamed to be Catholic and I will not give up my religion because of the sins of these men who went against the Catholic faith when they hurt children.  I have a deep spirituality which has been nurtured by my Catholic religion.  As a child, I was surrounded by respectful and caring priests and nuns who followed the Catholic faith correctly.  All of the Catholic children and adults which I have known in my life have had normal happy experiences in the Catholic tradition.  I will not shun my Catholic faith because the media chooses to focus on the crimes of these perpetrators when I know fully well that these "priests" do not represent the Catholic church.  And I have seen the crimes of preachers from Methodist ,Evangelical, Baptist, Jewish, Muslim, etc.  Every religion has corruptors. Be careful who you follow. Religions can be tricky because there are many false prophets and many false religions.  Find something that is true.  For me, it is my Catholic faith forever.

    Well, I suppose that if I followed an orthodoxy, I'd have to say yes--most such teach that we are bad beyond redemption by our own efforts, and without taking some positive, God-centered action (such as accepting Jesus as personal savior, or submitting to the will of Allah) we will suffer some terrible eternal fate.
    
    Of course, they differ on just what action or actions we should take, which is--inconvenient, to say the least.
    
    Since I don't, I think that you must find the answer to this for yourself.  What comforts you the most, and what challenges you the most?  These are the clues to growth.

    Of course, you should. Having a definite religion will make you have a certain aim in your life. You must know why you are here in this world, what you should do in your entire life and what you will get after leaving this world for good.................!

    I would suggest you read the bible and every other religious text you can get your hands on and then do some soul searching on what they mean to YOU. Then either join the religion that most closely matches your interpretation of those texts or just live your life according to what your beliefs are.
    
    With one exception.... if your interpretation involves killing, maiming, or coercion of others,  who believe differently then you, then you need counseling (and/or incarceration) not religion.
