Neither, not so long as ego is involved.
Morality ultimately resides with God. Hey, it's His universe. Not yours!
Many have talked a good, logical talk about the Bible and modern reason. But there is a great deal more at stake.
Many have attempted to interpret the Bible and have done so very poorly (both secularists and Christians). Humanity is not about these Homo sapiens bodies. So long as anyone insists on holding these temporary vessels as important, they miss the point. God doesn't love these bodies. He never has. They were a necessary tool to help Him free his children from bondage. Physical slavery is nothing compared to spiritual slavery.
That long, long quest is coming to a climax. After many thousands of years, the harvest is at hand. The forces of evil are building--the Western greed behind Eastern terrorism. The once great freedoms of America are being squeezed off to die, and most will welcome it as "necessary" for security's sake. Where's the morality in Rockerfellers, Wall Street Bankers and their ilk making money off of poisonous food and poisonous "maintenance" medicines? Murdering many millions more than died in WWII all for profit. Modern morality?
Ancient prophecy is coming to a head. Reestablishment of Israel, the great star (nuclear furnace) of Wormwood ("Chernobyl" in Ukrainian), the rising of the beasts of selfishness (Rockefellers and Bankers) and the corruption of government. One Rockefeller let slip a clue to the "mark of the beast"--computer chips for ID and necessary for all commerce. Will it happen? Yes, and when it does it will seem as necessary as the Patriot Act and TSA.
Be more concern about your immortal true self than your temporary body. But hey, that's your choice. That's what Heaven and Hell are all about. Choice.
