Did Jesus fake his own death on the cross, to live out his remaining years anonymously?

What better waay to remove yourself from the limelight than to fake your own death? How does one kill a being that is immortal?

What is he Elvis? No he didn't fake his own death. Do you know nothing at all? The whole point of Jesus Christ was for God to instill himself into a human being, or his "son". Like all human beings Jesus was mortal, so thus, he could be killed. The whole point of Christianity is the sake of Jesus dying FOR everybody so that salvation could be achieved following death.
Besides, he was crucified by the Romans. They completed tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of crucifixions for criminals, traitors, spies, or "enemies of the state". They were good at them; they made sure the person was dead.

Jesus was fully human, in that sense he could very much die. The divine part of his nature could not and was not killed. But his physical body was killed. According to the bible, when the Romans pierced his side water came out, mixed with blood. This means the crucifixion was successful and Jesus drowned. It would be a great way to get rid of the "popularity" he had received, but, no, according to the Christian faith and several sources outside of the Bible, the man named Jesus of Nazareth died on the cross.

Your question is so obtuse. How can anyone fake a crucifixion, fake being nailed to a cross with so many witnesses, the guards the priests the apostles and His own mother watching as he hung there dying.
