What are your thoughts on the Law of Attraction?

It's the most powerful law of the universe. Do you believe in it?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you are asking about two people being attracted to each other, no. Because even though there is an initial attraction sometimes when the hormones fire off, it passes if you let it. On the other hand, if two people are already acquainted and in love, but separate, the tendency to keep coming back to each other seems more to me to be difficulty in breaking a habit, and not wanting to be mean to or hurt someone you care about even if your feelings have changed.

I know what you mean - the Secret, Rhonda Byrne, the Law of Attraction, right?  Well, like all things I take it with a grain of salt, but there are some truths to it.  I believe it has its merits.  Just watching my kids, if I expect the best from them, I usually get it, whereas my husband expects the worst and gets that too, LOL.  It's no good to pretend that everything will be OK without having a solid philosophy to carry you through (like a canary in a coal mine or bird on a wire).  If you figure you know something about life and can trust yourself, your perceptions, instincts and so on, then why not put your best foot forward with faith and confidence?  Not believing in yourself and in life is only counter productive.  Expect the best, take steps toward achieving what you want, and never give up.

The Law Of Attraction has become a common term for the understanding that, 'what you put out, (energetically, emotionally and or physically), is what is magnetically attracted to you, by your own intentions'.

For instance in the bible the following quote by Jesus captures the essence of the Law of Attraction: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over… For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38).

My understanding of the law Of Attraction at its core refers to sincere giving, Gifts of positive feelings like Joy and love, that is non-physical gifts from the heart is the attractor factor. True giving is an invisible sharing of loving, joyous heart to heart unconditional communion.  If one gives ‘things’ because one feels that one should or has to give, it is a non energetic non-beneficial hollow gift, without any beneficial effect.

Biologically we are all feeling creatures with the ability to think. Consequently when we give energy through feelings of love to another, (man, beast or planet), we are magnets causing love to be attracted and ripple back to us.

Mother Teresa said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving”. Yes, money and stuff can ease a person’s dilemma or pain temporarily, but without love there is very little magnetic energy and the deed lacks vitality and it virtually remains lifeless.

St Paul in Galatians 5:67 said:”The entire law is summed up in a single command; Love your neighbor as yourself.”

My belief about the Law of Attraction is that if , as Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio says, we “Let your (Loving) conscious be your guide”, then we will always be listening to our Higher Knowing and therefore be generating all Good and receiving, magnetizing abundant Good in return.

To me that is the Law of Attraction.

It is a very ancient law that has become mainstream. It has been known and used by many religions, secret societies and occult/new age teachers for thousands of years including ancient Egypt with sympathetic magic and As above, So below. The Secret received the most marketing and publicity in recent years. The New Thought teachers taught the same law in the 1800's. Parker Publishing had a huge series of books in the 1960's through the 1980's on the subject of attraction, esp, psychic phenomena etc. Does it work? Of course it does. The only problem with most people is....when. At times it seems to work quickly and at other times, for some, not for everything that they want. Then again, nobody gets everything that they want, for whatever reasons.

Of course I do! How can you not believe in something that has both personal proof and actual scientific proof? Quantum Physics, Noetic Science, Entanglement Physics, and many more subjects all have collected data to support the Law of Attraction and its validity. We are literally in the age of enlightenment and the entire world shall awaken before it is over!
