   Is it through our beliefs that things manifest into being?
   
   Does God exist because we have such faith in him and that faith gives him life?  Our belief system not only effects our reality and how we interpret things, but I feel that faith can create a living intity.  Looking to the Greek Mythology, their gods existed and were considered real to those who believed!  Can faith be such a powerful tool to lead to creation?  Is this not the reason we clapped our hands for Tinkerbell?

   It is said that we fashion God into a form that we could relate to..and that some gurus can make a stupa alive, in the presence of devotees...This I do not doubt at all..
   The mechanisms are complicated and we are warned not to be fascinated by them..

   Renegade Catholic theologian Matthew Fox and the witch Starhawk created a theory of that sort together awhile ago, but it was rejected as heretical by the Catholic Church.
   
   I know that Tibetan Buddhism has a tradition of the 'tulku', which is a being created by a monk after years of a specific kind of training. It is said that such beings serve their masters at first, but become more independent and cantankerous over time, Getting rid of a tulku can be harder than creating one, which is interesting.
   
   John Keel, the UFO writer/conspiracy theorist, was a magician before he started writing books about UFOs and cryptids (he wrote a book about Mothman), and he came to believe that at least some paranormal activity is generated this way.
   
   Some of Keel's critics felt that HE unwittingly created some of the MIB that tormented his interview subjects, through the sheer strength of his presence and his imagination.
   
   When it comes to the Law of Attraction though, I think most of that is rot, and that while it can help a person focus and set goals, you aren't really 'manifesting' anything, you are just planting unconscious prompts to direct your attention to stuff that's already there.
   
   Yogis always taught that when a student has attained the level of practice to use the 'siddhis' (of which manifesting is one, and is associated with the heart chakra), that student has also (hopefully) attained the wisdom to know that 9 times out of 10 its best NOT to use them, and that using them for one's own benefit is a grave error karmically speaking.
   
   Sometimes a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

   I believe that our beliefs on an individual basis are relative to our own situations or conditions that are in our environment. We may see a thing such as a sunset or flight of birds in a totally different light or mindset than someone else who is related to us or a total stranger. When we gather together, as in a religion, and with all of the facets that create it, we tend to think as one or in harmony. The mind can be a powerful entity. If we believe a thing with our total sincerity and devotion, that thing exists. It can also have a great influence in the way that we live and relate to others. It can also have a lot to do with our health, appearance and how long we live.I believe that there had to be a creator of all that we see and hear. Would the night be dark and the sun make daylight bright, whether we believe it or not? Yes, many things manifest into being in each's mind, yet there are things in the world that are, regardless of whether we relate to it, or behold it in the same way as our neighbors.There was a source of all creation. There could not have been a never ending void without light or a source of creation. If there were no earth or life on the planet, there would still be other planets and the sun, as well as billions and billions of other stars and planets in what we call space, or the universe. Our existence dictates that there has to be a beginning and and end, as in our own lives. The true concept of infinity or foreverness, is beyond our conceptual grasp, because that is the nature of the beast. It is, whether we believe or not! We were created, whether it took a billion years or much less.If we did not accept that love, caring, human spirit, and a benevolent God, existed, to us, it may not, yet to others and a world of hunger and thirst,it is reality.

   Faith can be well placed or misplaced, but does not create reality.  A friend had faith while under the influence of LSD that he could go out a window and land w/out harm to himself...broke both his heels and ankles.  The Greeks may have believed their gods were real, but the belief doesn't make it so...Atheists argue this way for ALL religious "misconceptions" when you think of it.
   IF faith can lead to creation, can you show me the hungry person who has conjured food from nothingness to appease his hunger?  NOPE.  If you believe the Bible, only God can create something out of nothing...like when he spoke things into being.
   Oh, is it true that Tink is now head of a modeling agency somewhere in Idaho?   Enjoy your day!!

      I enjoyed your response and I bet Tink is making an ungodly amount of money!  However, inventors had visions and without their belief in them some things would of never come to light.

      It is funny how you say hungar.  My husband and I lead a very humble life and there are times we are not sure where our food will come from and my husband says to me "keep faith and the Creator will provide"  Low and behold, out of nowhere comes food

   I have been wondering about this myself.  As we come to understand that reality comes in many shapes and sizes, I ask myself if we humans create our own realities.  I think this is obvious in many cases i.e. racism.  If you expect bad things from people your vision is altered to interpret these people negatively.  But as to 'real' realities, I understand that energy is never destroyed.  We certainly are generators of energy making heat and the electricity that enables our nervous systems, so this must last.  Also, I ask, are our ideas, dreams, fantasies not a form of energy?  So do these mental phenomena have 'lives' of their own?  Are we, as we live our lives, creating little worlds with our minds?  I don't know.  I'm still working on this one.

   If we have the power to create though belief alone,then we should ask ourselves why and how we have obtained this ability. For what purpose? When you think of all the belief systems in our world, and the many millions of people who hold different beliefs of God; it would mean that though these people beliefs they have created there own God, depending on there own understanding. Humans are not God, no matter how much Satan wants us to think this!

      It seems only natural that, as God's children, we're made in His image and eventually develop some of His abilities...
      
      The ability to create through belief doesn't mean that all things are created that way.
      
      So, the concept that people are creating
