   If you are looking for something as evidence of God, what would suffice?
   
   I've heard many people - friends, acquaintances & strangers - allude they would believe if they could find a reason to believe.  For those of you who are seeking, what would suffice as evidence of God?

   The air I breathe, the fact that cirmcumstances  came my way to make me literally feel as if no one cares rejected and dejected or that God is not a miracle working God with counterfeit stuff porporting to replace God. And now  I can wake up and praise HIM and feel his presense is evidence that he ominpresent.

   I'm sure this answer will get many downs but here goes. When there comes a time when children aren't raped, people don't starve, and our world is at peace I will believe there is a God. While these things go on there is NO way I would be able to believe there is something capable of creating an entire world but refuses to fix it and keep it the way he made it. When free will stops being an excuse for all things bad I will believe. I simply can't accept any opinion of why an all powerful being would continue to allow his "children" to suffer. I wouldn't allow my child to suffer so why would a god?

      God is sovereign.  His ways are higher than our ways.  He allows bad things to happen. There is also evil in the world apart from free will.  Sin is the issue. We broke God's laws and there are consequences. In the end, everything will be made right.

   We don't have to search for evidence.... God lives within us as long as our heart and soul is clean enough to welcome God. Its like this when u hear a beautiful piece of music u feel peaceful and uplifted.

   For me, these and more are sufficient evidence (if ever we need one) that God exists:
   
   1. The wondrous universe with all its mystery that remains unfathomable despite the so called brilliance of man;
   2. The wonder of every sunrise after every sunset and the mystery of the night;
   3. The hope left in every man who still believes that things will turn out for the better tomorrow;
   4. The trust and adoration you see in a child's eyes;
   5. The rainbow after every storm;
   6. The music created by the birds;
   7. The gentle whisper of the breeze;
   8. That tiny voice inside every man which tells us whether we are doing the right thing or not;
   
   I can go on and on...

   For those who are seeking evidence of GOD need not look very far. They should stand in front of a mirror and look at themselves.
   
   We are all creations of God. Human Kind can be very intelligent, brilliant etc., etc., but breathing life is God's creation.
   
   So many millions of faces, each one looking different, maybe a little resemblance here and there - all God's creations.
   
   This should be evidence enough.

      There is a kind of worm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) that eats into living flesh, including many children every year, causing untold suffering. If god created that worm, then why did it do that?

    The very fact that you are asking this question and I am answering it suffices me as as evidence of God.
    
    People who ask for evidence of God are fools according to me because none of us either ask for proof from our mother that a particular man is our father. Moreover after all the scientific evidence, all the astronomical truths it is not difficult to deduce that God does exist.
    
    For me my own existence and my knowledge of God suffices as evidence of God's evidence.

    This planet and everything on it, as well as the whole Universe is enough for me to believe. Although it can all be scientifically proven, that doesn't mean an energy beyond human comprehension did not have anything to do with the creation of it.

    Well for one having a prayer answered after a deep, sincere and personal prayer session with God.  Second would be the way God sends people of all walks to guide you along through life's struggles.  The key to seeing any devine miracle is faith.

    I would believe in a god if it miraculously healed, with evidence beyond reasonable doubt, an amputee.
    
    Seems strange to me that all the little kids and babies born deformed, limbless or losing limbs as the result of accidents have always had all their prayers completely ignored. If there was a god of some description you'd have thought that it might have used its superpowers to help at least one of these innocents, suffering not because of human evil but because of the inherent laws of nature that the divinity supposedly invented.

    Why won't any of the gods (yahweh,zeus,jesus,krishna,allah etc) heal amputees? And why have they created a world with suffering, disease and natural disaster built in long before the arrival of humans?
    
    Gods don't make sense in the 21st century. Forget about it.

    The amazing universe, the bright moon, sun and stars that light up our sky every night, the lovable creatures and animals, the wonderful world that we live in and the ability to forgive, love other people and the goodness everyone of us has are sufficient enough for me to believe in God.

    Simple. Just look around. The animals, trees, oceans, and sky. As I thinking how this made, I was convinced there in the existence of GOD. Yes, there is a creator. Imagine, all creatures are have there uniqueness and differences. Its only shows that there is a hidden brain and knowledge behind these all things. Its unbelievably but amazingly the truth. There is GOD, yes, Jehovah God.

    I would say it is impossible to find evidence of God for three reasons.
    1. Evidence is defined as something that, "makes plain or clear."  In a search for God no so called evidence can do this because there are too many ways of looking at it.  For example, some people look at the world and it's creatures and see the hand of a higher power.  Others see naturally occurring ecosystems and natural processes.  The "evidence" is too ambiguous to fit the definition.
    
    2. Looking for evidence of faith is inherently fruitless. If religion could be proven it would not be called faith.  Those who look for proof of God, are looking for something that fundamentally cannot exist.
    
    3. Last but not least, people have a tendency to view new information through the lens of their existing bias.  That is to say that a religious person will always see things as proof of God, while a non-religious person will not.  When a person says the either found or lost religion I think it's more a case of long supressed beliefs finally being realized more than an actual conversion.
