   Do you really know what Mormons belief? Would you ask one to be sure?
   
   I, as a Mormon have come across so many people willing to tell me what I believe without hearing it from me. I would never ask a Baptist what a Methodist believes or a Jehovah Witness what a Catholic believes. Be honest, how many of us are willing to get the information from the source or do we like to hear the sensational things self-proclaimed experts publish?

      I like this answer also. If you want to know what I believe I can share my hub about it with you. If you want to know what my church teaches you can go to the lds.org website. You and I are similar, I don't judge religions, just actions.

   How many different Mormons do we have to hear it from and reply to before you will accept it?    I just got done with two more of your "Elders" the other day...  Your entire Message is based upon two false Premises. 1) That there was a Universal Apostasy: which means Complete and nothing left of the original Church-- This Contradicts Jesus words that the Church was founded upon the Testimony of who Jesus truly is, and that the Gates of Hell would not Prevail against it...  and 2)  That Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God... Answer: He was a False Prophet.  which is well documented in History.   But you already know all of this... so post another Blog and pretend that it has not been said already.  Or that no one has Heard you personally yet...  Sorry guy.. that Horse is dead already..  no reason to keep beating on it..

      Nice answer, but your character assassination will not deflect that all that you have stated is just your opinion and not the truth. Unless God himself told you that and the holy spirit testifies of it all you have are opinions.

      You assasinated Joseph Smith Jr.'s character by being, I hope unintentionally, deceptive. There is no documentation of his false prophecy, but on the contrary.
      
      Opinion is not evidence or proof. Joseph said he saw God. Either he lied or not, ask God.

   Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers.  That if you are "good" enough you get to be your own little god of your own world in the next life.  They also until just a few years ago believed that blacks were inferior and they would not allow them into their congregation and to this day I've never seen a black Mormon leader.  Mormons believe in a "works" salvation which is NOT biblical.  Many of their rituals and symbols were taken directly from the Freemasons of which Joseph Smith was a member.

      Thank you for your asnwer Brie, but you missed the point. You are not a Mormon so you cannot speak for our beliefs. I wanted to know would you ask a Mormon. Your answer is obviously no.

      Rodric, I was born and raised mormon till the age of 18 so I can vouch for what she's saying and a whole lot more!  You *DO* believe that some day you can become a god, don't you?  Don't try and deny it.  It is the truth. Freemasons also believe this

   I, as a Christian have come across a number of Mormons who don't really know what their founding fathers actually believed and wrote in their books, such as the Pearl of Great Price and the Book of Mormon.  I don't know if Mormons aren't reading those books or what the story truly is, but some pretty outlandish statements were made in those books, at least from a Christian perspective, statements that many of the Mormons I have spoken to are completely unaware of and in some cases emphatically deny until I pull the books out and show them what their prophets actually said.  A couple of examples would be an outright denial that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit.  Or, another belief that Adam was an incarnation of God who came to the earth with one of his wives, namely Eve, and started the Human race.  There are numerous other examples in those books, but when any religion denies the Christian belief about the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and starts claiming Adam was an incarnation of God, just like Jesus, and completely changes the Bible's rendition of the creation story, it leaves little to wonder about why mainstream Christianity has some theological problems with the Mormon faith.  On the other hand, I have met very few Mormons who are actually aware of these statements by their prophets, so maybe they aren't reading those books anymore and they are making the Bible their primary source of reading material, which I think would be a good thing if it is truly the case.

      Praise God! I like this answer. You are correct. Many of us do not know the folklore behind Mormon history and teachings, but some of us do, like me.
      
      The reason why that is is because it is folklore and not official church teachings.

      But Rodric... you yourself have stated some of these things of contention... or Folklore if you will..
      about Jesus being Lucifers Brother for example...  Too Us Christians... that is an offense against the Deity of Christ.

      I never said that was folklore that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. It is a fact that they are and I will not deny it, I just don't have space here to put it into context because clearly, clearly this has been taken way out of context.

   I do understand some of what you believe in your religion.  I am a Christian and it is not my responsibility to brow beat you or judge you in any way.  That is for God to do.  I do know that your beliefs about who Jesus is and about heaven and hell are very different.  I can tell you that there is only one heaven and one hell and that there are no degress of either.  We are all going to either heaven or hell and that is determined by our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  I would love to share with you my relationship with Jesus Christ at some point if you would like to hear about Jesus.  I do care about you and I care about what happens to you when you die.  I know that we all feel that what we believe is the absolute truth, but anything less than believeing in the Bible is not really the truth.  The Bible was given to us by God through the lives of men who were blessed with the Holy Spirit.  This is what makes the Bible the absolute authority on what is actually true in life.

      I would love to share about Jesus with you. He is my Savior. You say that you know what we teach about heaven and hell is different, but you don't know really because it is the same. We believe in one hell and heaven after death.

      Rodric you believe that there are 3 heavens. And growing up (as a mormon) I was tought that there was no hell just outer darkness. And that you will be able to leave outer darknes if you accept mormon doctrine.

   I would have love it if you asked this question in forum so we can share ideas because I want to know their teaching and I think you are the first member I have come across and chat with. My younger brother has a Mormon book which a Mormon gave to him, I took to book from him but I have not read it completely. I only scanned through it. The book is like a bible to mormons. I got some information from the book like the various priest in the mormon church but I think its better I hear from a mormon directly.

   I know this. The exact same Holy days and Ten Commandments that were given in the Old Testament are the only ones that were proclaimed by Jesus Christ and strictly observed by "all" His Disciples. Anything and everything else is wrong!

      Lloyd, thanks for answering. Actually, the disciples of Christ started meeting on the first fay of the week after the resurrectio of Christ. It is accurate for you to say you believe and not know, because honestly you do not. It is a matter of record

   I was born and raised Mormon, but am no longer active.  "By there fruits ye shall know them."  Turns out in every ward I've ever been in, people hide behind warm, loving welcoming faces to investigators but the church is more akin to a bucket of blood thirsty crabs ripping each other apart and pulling each other down.
   
   In every single ward I have ever been in, there was constant drama and people backstabbing each other and talking crap.  There was no love whatsoever there, other than the artificial kind people displayed to make others think higher of them.
   
   At the age of 18 I went innactive through repulsion of all of this and I am SO glad I did!  I began investigating other religions and found Buddhism to be what resonates with the most truth to me. 
   
   I've watched the people in the church continue to rip each other apart from a safe distance ever since.
