Is God Satan's Boss?

   Is God Satan's Boss?
   
   This may seem silly but I remember the story of Job. God allowed Satan to test Job and put Job through all kinds of difficulty.  Does this means that God allows Satan to test all humans in such a way just to see if we have faith? Why wouldn't God just destroy Satan quickly and call it a day? Does God really fight with Satan, how could this be if God is all powerful, Satan would not stand a chance.

   That's an interesting question.
   
   Why doesn't God beat Satan? It's worth noting that, by definition, God would follow the rules and Satan could cheat, so that could offset the hometeam advantage there.
   
   I think that Satan is possibly necessary though because of Free Will. God gave us Free Will, I think in part because without choice, one cannot choose Good. Evil is not necessary to strike a balance with Good (we could 100% choose Good and that would be fine) but the possibility of Evil is needed to make a true choice possible.
   
   At that point, Satan seems to be in charge of co-ordinating that end of things.
   
   I think I'm going to have to think of Satan as an independant contractor...

      Funny, Even if Satan cheated God would still win because God would already know how Satan would cheat.  All pwoerful to me means all powerful, no one can conquer God.

   Come on Darrell,
     Simple answer yes, if you put the plan together, then you are the boss.  Its Gods plan.  He doesn't ask that you understand.  You have freewill to react, he had freewill to create.  If you ask questions like this, you might find answers that look as if they lead you away from his path.  Remember though, it will just look to be a path away from him, all paths are a part of his plan.  If, with your freewill you create a condition to occur that might not otherwise, do you compromise someone else's choice, is their freewill compromised?  Would this mean then, that they have no freewill.  If they have no freewill, then maybe you do not.  Maybe Satan does not.  Thank God, God did when he put the plan for all this together.

   My personal belief is that our lives are each like a balancing scale and on one side is goodness and the other is evil. As long as goodness prevails the balancing moves toward the righteous and good in spirit, if the balance is upset and moves downward from the weight of much evil; in the life, then the evil is cast into perdition, until the balancing weights are achieved, once again. I believe that God uses evil and at times though it seems evil prevails, it is short lived and is turned against itself, in a form of self-destruction. Yes, God, or the Creator does control evil. As was seen when Satan was once the fairest of God's angels and later went against the Father and he was cast into Hell with other dissenting members, to reside there forever and until the return of Christ and his final destruction. This is what the scriptures tell us.

   An emphatic 'Yes' from me. Yes God is Satan's boss and boss of everything. There are several instances in The Holy Bible wherein Satan first takes the permission of God to torture or harm or test any human.

      I do not think that asking questions that may appear unusual is risky. This question was based on the premis that God is indeed all knowing, all powerful, and everywhere, this would make God all our bosses including Satans. Best wishes
