Presumably they do. If by 'guilty people' you mean people who have committed some sort of serious offense against others, then yes, they sometimes die in natural disasters. You can probably find some 'guilty people' encased in stone in Pompeii.
This may be a little off topic but in my opinion it is the poor people who die most of the time faster and in greater numbers in comparison to any other social classes.
I think God hates poor people. Think about it ... poor people die in greatest numbers from: tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, etc. Poor people die of starvation, malnutrition and/or (gang) violence. Somehow poor people always "get it". It is the poor people that fight the wars for those in power and guess what - they die there too. Poor people are always dying while maggots strive on ...
I think that your question might answer itself. Disasters are naturally occurring events and therefore indiscriminate. Whoever happens to be in their path, guilty, innocent or otherwise runs the risk of dying in the process.
I tend to agree with John Fracchia, but futher to his thoughts I would also add that the truely guilty are in prisons.
If you have taken any real notice you will see that prisons are very big & strong buildings, not usually very high but cover a large area.
They also seem to be away from prime realestate areas such as near oceans with nice views {The Rock being an exception}.
Ever notice that it seems to be a lot of prime realestate areas that get hit worst, even in the third world areas.
Just a bit of food for thought.
Isn't it obvious! Satan causes natural disasters! DUH! And for whatever reason, our loving and merciful and omnipotent God is powerless to stop him! I haven't worked that last one out yet, but I'm sure he has his reasons.
Tsk EdG, I am ashamed of you, we all know that god has the monopoly on natural disasters, why those heathens in Sodom and Gomorrah had it coming! there's bound to be some collateral damage.. .. o wait, he sent the 'only' good people out and then, when Mrs. Lot looked back, probably trying to remember if she turned the stove of, smackeroo... good people turned into natural byproducts!
To be fair, depending on who you ask EVERYBODY is guilty by default, so let the smiting commence!

I've seen comments by people saying to pray when there are natural disasters. Some also doing their 'end-time' rant. What use is prayer? How does it help any?

What is God's role in a natural disaster?I was reading a story about Oklahoma tornado victims. One survivor said "God saved us." Unfortunately, other people died in the tornado. Assuming all the people were equally God-fearing, did God save some and sacrifice others? Did God cause the...
