    Rajan,

When someone goes out of their way to reach out and make a sacrifice for a friend, neighbor, stranger, or even an enemy.  This is what makes the most impact, when someone puts his/her priorities to the side, and focuses on helping someone else.  This is the human act that touches me the most. (Simple act, hard to live out!)

Kindness touches me most. In this present world cruelty is surfacing everywhere beyond imagination. Sometimes its scary to think what a world we will leave for our next generation. A small deed of kindness goes a long way to make this world a better place to live in. If we show right path we can hope that our children will simply follow us for a better life.
    Thanks.

Love. Still, I do not know that it can be done without the presence of the Spiritual Master; without the God-touch. I have sat the feet of someone, empowered from on high, and who acted as a bridge to shower me with this virtue.

human created barriers such as racism / caste prejudice / any kind of oppression have always bothered me and whenever i see an act which breaks such barriers i'm touched.

Those human acts between small children and the Elderly.   As children, we are pure and close to God in the beginning.  When these children reach out with unconditional love to soothe an Elder, I am always touched.  Seems like children have not been influenced yet by society's temptations and only see the simplicity of loving, while Elderly people tend to have gone through the life mill to now know that temptations of society is a fool's game and they now simply understand the works of love.

I love all of these answers.  I'm most touched when someone does something selfless without the need or want of any sort of recognition.  It's a rare thing--but I'm proud to say my husband and son are these kinds of people.

Then you must be, too. It is really hard to see that which you do not have.

Men love their friends just as much as women do and it always touches me when they're not afraid to show it. So for me it's a public display of love and affection between two men. We're used to seeing women embrace, but many men in Western society are often still afraid that they will be labelled as gay (whether they are or not) whenever they show their love.

When a person shows a kind heart to a complete stranger. I can't explain the high I get from making a complete stranger smile.

I would have to say charity. Giving to those who needed the most. There's no better feeling than helping someone.

The act of sacrificing your life or putting it on the line for something you believe in, being a part of a cog that protects people they have never met, leaving their own children and families behind just because they believe in it enough to die for, so that we can have this freedom some of us take for granted.  For me, that's incredible.

Our own ethical response to the needs of others in the face of disaster when we are able to sacrifice our own safety to save lives of strangers. Humans are social animals and empathy and sympathy are honed for survival. It's about preservation, of the self, the genes and the social group in which we and our genes are embedded. And yet, no one likes to see anyone suffer, in time of need we are ready to save lives of complete strangers, knowing that I am confident that we survive as a human race:)

When someone goes out of their way to do something special and positive for someone in need. And do it without any ulterior motives.
