Do you believe that getting old ALWAYS beats the alternative?

What would be your "deal breaker" if you knew that when and if you get old, you will be ... (for example a burden to your family, bed-ridden for twenty years, get Alzheimers...)

Thank you for your answer, but let me ask you this "Have you ever been suicidal?" No judgment either way. I am only seeking an honest response if you are comfortable.
