Suffering has its own eternal rewards and though a mystery to man aids us in not only facing adversity but teaches us to perservere. Finding God is up to you to search your inner self, your heart. This is His resting place. Suffering can reap huge rewards by grace. The grace of God. When you find peace and calm within...not worrying but trusting to his divine surrender he is wanting to see you accomplish, this on your own or through other people. Dont ask for the adversity to be taken away, smile at it, and you will truly be blessed. You will recieve a crown of eternal roses. Search inside for Him...let him take charge....Let go and you will find Him. TRUST! Do not ever be so discouraged that you quit or worry too much...the Comforter is ALWAYS with you.

The world we experience has been designed. It is so complex, and so many things work *against* life continuing to exist, much less coming to exist in the first place.  My favorite brain bender goes something like this:  That your mind can question God's existence, proves that he exists.

The universe can't generate a mind capable of dissecting the universe... it's kinda like a man learning brain surgery by practicing on himself. Eww. And, impossible.

People suffer in this world because, I'm sad to say, this is a fallen world. Adam and Eve gave up their rights to preserve its original perfection, and handed them over to Ha-satan, the accuser.

I must constantly remind myself, God rarely changes a person's *circumstance*, but he always changes a person's *conscience*.  This means, God may not remove the suffering completely, but if you trust him, he will somehow ease the suffering.

Even if you don't notice (that is, you're still hurting), he is always working. I think when a loved one gets sick or dies, the people close to him suffer just as much, and God is there too.

Eventually this world will be perfect, or at least not-fallen, again. Then we'll all know the way God meant it to be in the first place.

Which God are you asking about? It seems like most gods out there are more concerned with making people suffer than ending suffering. Even if he does exist, suffering should be expected, and in more prolific amounts as a cause of his existence.

As for where, if he exists, then he does so outside of time and space where he can not possibly be observed or proven. Otherwise your question would have been answered already.

The simple answer is choice. God gave us choice which gives us the choice to love him. Therefore, people make choices which can cause others to suffer. The world we know today is made by the choices of our ancesters. It is also the choice of people to not help those that are suffering.

    3.  This is such a hard question.  One that I have asked many times in my life.  We suffer because we live in a broken world.  One that went from perfection to imperfection.  I do know that in my own life I have had tragedy and suffering. I have always learned wonderful truths out of the suffering.

I also always say I never want to repeat it-- but I don't know if I could have ever come to a place of growing in my relationship with God--apart from the suffering.  I know that seems an odd thing to say, but it has been true for me. Now, however, I have grown to know God apart from those times that I was driven by circumstance to seek him.  I don't think God is the "cause" of suffering, but he does redeem the good from it and is there, much like a parent when a child falls, to pick us up and comfort us by his love.

    Saving a life--http://hubpages.com/hub/SavingLives
I don't understand everything about why all the pain, deaths & suffering. But I do know that us turning our backs on God isn't helping and hiding the truth that our only salvation is Jesus Christ. And Jesus Christ can save all mankind if they will just call on Him! This turning away from God has caused us to walk into satan's playground and suffer the unavoidable consequences of early deaths, losses, divorces, sickness & misery. Sin causes death & misery period. You do understand cause & effect with everything else but why not with God? If you run and hide and don't care what He thinks, how can He protect you if it is determed by your free will? God wants you, He has already chose you. God's waiting on you!
