Do you believe Mediums can communicate with those who have died?

After watching Long Island Medium this past Sunday, I wonder how many readers believe in Mediums and have had a positive encounter with a Medium?

No, but I still like the movie "Ghost" with Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Swayze, and Demi Moore.

Absolutely I believe some mediums can accomplish this. There is another aspect to our world; however, it is quite elusive to discern... Now if you asked me if I have quantifiable proof  of this then sadly I would have to be silent...

Ecc 9: 5,6,10 talks about the condition of the dead . and Check out Deut. 18:10-12 it talks about not consulting mediums.  After you read these scriptures it will make you wonder who the mediums are really talking too!

I think some can but there are lots more who can't!

I did have one session with a medium many years ago and I was very impressed. This lady worked from her own home and is not on the stage and doesn't take money etc. I already knew not to give her any clue as to my identify, marital status, career or family background etc. and I actually tried to throw her off the track, but she wasn't put off, was very accurate and yes, a number of things she told me about did happen. So with this lady, yes I was very impressed.

However, I think this caliber of medium is not that common and many are rubbish. The thing is, the false ones are so good at  picking up on physical and psychological clues as well as subtly getting information out of people, that at first folks are quite impressed. But they are not doing anything other than being good at guessing, excellent at back-tracking and covering up their mistakes.

The difficulty with the genuine ones is that investigators use physical means to test what is a non-physical thing, so at present it's not possible to definately say that what genuine psychics/mediums do is legit. I personally think that a few do have an ability that is extraordinary.

The best medium I ever saw (different to the one mentioned previously) was David Wells from Scotland and yes, I do believe this man is genuine. But it doesn't surprise me at all that many people find it all a bit dubious when you see what nonsense is shown on TV etc.

As a Medium, yes, I do talk to spirits.  The life of a Medium is a life that's hard lived.  Most Mediums keep their ability a secret from others for fear of ridicule and negative consequences.  I kept mine a secret for years.  I was called a freak and a devil worshiper.  Like with anything else, when dealing with the spirit world there is both good and bad.  I have had scripture thrown at me.  What is not told to you is that Scripture tells not to put your faith in magic, spirits, and such.  Our faith must be rooted in Christ.  My faith is a great assest to me as a Medium.  It keeps me safe.  Scripture tells to test the spirits we talk to.  If they are bad, they will not hear the name of our Lord.  It is those that I banish from me, and others who come to me for help.  Jesus healed the sick, spoke with the dead, exorcised demons, and etc.  He told the Apostles that wtih great faith they would be able to do as he did.  What was called miracles back then, we now call paranormal phenomena.  I have been able to talk to loved ones that have passed, to help people who needed closure, and to help those who were being oppressed by manevolent spirits or demons.  I am a Christian Medium, and yes, we do exist.
