What is the real name of Jesus? How did the name Jesus originate? What does it mean?
The prophet Isaiah says, "...and she shall call His name Immanuel" which means "God with us". There is no record of Jesus ever being called by that name. However,the name Jesus means "Jehovah, the Savior" or "Jehovah is salvation" which implies the presence of "God with us".
To quote from ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshua_(name):
"Yeshua, spelled ???????? (Y?šû?‘) or ???? in Hebrew was a common name among Jews of the Second Temple Period, and is thought by some scholars[1][2] and religious groups[3] to be the Hebrew or Aramaic name for Jesus. In modern Hebrew, Yeshu (???) and Yeshua (????) are in fact the common transcriptions for Jesus.
The name Yeshua is extensively used by Messianic Jews and Hebrew Christians, as well as other Christian denominations, who wish to use Jesus' Hebrew name."

Jesus is just Aramaic or if we use the Greek 'Iesous' for the Hebrew Yeshua or Jehoshua, which means deliverer. These names also come from Joshua who delivered Israel into the Promised Land.
Osea, Oshea, Hosea and even the Irish name O'shea are all related to the name Joshua.
