   No but I do believe she had a more active role in the development of Christianity (beside hanging out at the tomb/witness to the crucifixion and being the forgiven whore.) I see her as a female-representative to the faith and no less an apostle/disciple then the males that followed her.The supposition surrounding her role are endless-some people believe she was the actual writer of Luke?Then there is the Harlequin-Romance theory that you have asked about. As with all belief systems its a personal choice to embrace all/none of these theories regarding her role.

   I do believe He was in a serious relationship with Mary Mag.; quite similar to his relationship with Peter, John etc. However, all evidence suggests that there was no sexual relationship. He was completely enveloped in His Father's business; this was His focus. Believe what you must.

   No. The world cannot understand love at it's purest, and this is why they like to say that Jesus and Mary were "lovers". They were not. People who don't understand this kind of love, like to give it a label - as they understand it.
   
   Mary loved Jesus because she was involved in a lot of bad stuff that He saved her from. He loved her as He loves you and I, no matter what we have done.
   
   The world is perverted and can not understand His love for each person, so where they see this pure love between Mary and her Saviour, they immediately think they were lovers.
   
   Like Mary, I love my Saviour with a pure love, because He loved me first and saved me from many bad things. I know how Mary felt, because I have that same love for my Jesus.

      This is a very interesting answer to this question. I have never thought about it that way, although Jesus was a man and Mary was a woman and it is our nature to have that kind of relationship between a man and a woman .

   I agree with the guys that could not care. You will find that 'mental' stuff pleases our minds but do not help our hearts in the spiritual life.
   My answer is 'No.' The Christ was very pure and Mary was very pure. What's more likely is that she was His best disciple. Spiritual Masters  have always  drawn closer to those who love God. They help greater with the mission and take some of the weight of the Masters shoulders. That happens a lot in real life with leaders and their implementers.
   Finally, be careful! My Master used to say that when people talk badly of genuine Spiritual Masters, their own souls can sometimes punish them. Be careful.

    Da Vince Code and Holy Blood, Holy Grail were interesting books, but Jesus was about his Father's business, not his own.
    
    He would not have had sex out of wedlock, and at the marriage at Cana, Jesus makes it clear to his mother that it is the groom's responsibility to get more wine, and that it's not his time to get married. So, he was not married at that time, and nothing in the subsequent scripture talked about his marriage to anyone.
    
    On a more spiritual note, Jesus knew that we are not these Homo sapiens bodies we wear. His mission was to help his siblings wake up from their "death-sleep" -- the poison of the forbidden fruit (ego). Marriage and sex would've been a major distraction from that, just as John the Baptist's (Elijah's) failed memory was a stumbling block to that mission.

    No he did not because he had a mission on earth and was not going to be distracted from that mission by anything or any person, including a woman. There is no evidence to support the idea of such a relationship. Jesus gave everything, his very life, to all of us, so that we can receive the gift of eternal salvation. Jesus appeared as a man, but he was the Son of God and he knew his purpose on earth. I do not know if you think this is true or just looking for a question to ask that will generate comments, but it appears that the vast majority if not all the respondents, as of this date, do not believe there was any sexual relationship.

    I believe that of course it is a possibility - no one alive can say with any authority yes or no. Faith alone will be the basis of a answer.
    So many distorted versions of HIS-STORY, all we really have is the choice to believe what we want.
    However, I vote no he did not.

    No. Be for real!  The bible points out the purpose for His son. Not to find a wife, but to saved mankind. We all know the flesh is weak. Finding a wife would have broght great pain to us all.

    I believe that if you applied your question to our neighbors or co-workers, that as Jim indicates, it's none of our business.
    
    I also believe that whatever any of us choose to believe is based on information we were taught or read or heard, and that at the end of the day, we truly do not know the answer to your question outside of a belief based on a system of faith or organized religion.

    There is certainly growing evidence to support that possibility, including her
    frequent presence in the New Testament. I personally believe that as a wife
    (of like mind and spirit), Mary could have been a great asset to His teaching and healing. ("Behind every good man...") and Jesus was a man as well as a God.
    I do not see a wife and children as an obstacle to His work.
    I have also seen  that celibacy certainly isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Considering all that is omitted from the Bible (lost years,other gospels, no mention of his travels), yes, I think it quite possible. I like the idea!
