Which or what Quote is your favorite?

There are many quotes that we can learn by. Many come from different sources. And many have been used to guide us through life. So which one do you like best and who wrote it?

Though it is very simple I love the quote Everything happens for a reason. I believe this is so true and helps me to realize that even when things are going bad, there is a reason for it.

As a septuaginarian the senility prayer has come to mean a lot to me.

"Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
The eyesight to tell the difference."

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek neither your council nor your arms. Bow down and lick the hand which feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.- Samuel Adams

I love many quotes; however, this one came (first) to mind." I have no idea why it indeed did. It is a quote from one of my favorite actresses, Audrey Hepburn. Here it is:
"Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!”

I have quote a few that are my favorites, and I'll list them, but I can't really say if they are in order.  In fact, I even have a quote from an old video game here!

“It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.” - Rose Kennedy

"You do not know how paralyzing that staring at a blank canvas is; it says to the painter, you can't do anything... Many painters are afraid of the blank canvas, but the blank canvas is afraid of the really passionate painter who is daring - and who has once and for all broken that spell of 'you cannot'.." - Vincent Van Gogh

"I think our collective psychosis is hilarious. With the world moving as fast as it is, if we weren't dysfunctional, we couldn't function." - Christopher Titus

"There's only one thing that will make them stop hating you. And that's being so good at what you do that they can't ignore you." - Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game

“...Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” - Stephen King

"People think that rolling in the hay is passionate when really, it's just painful." - A personal friend

"The worst foe lies within the self..." - Parasite Eve

"Does history guide you or do you set out to change it?" - The Agonist (Business Suits and Combat boots)

It's simple in theory but profound in practice :"Not until the world of women becomes the equal to the world of men, can success & prosperity be attained as they ought to be." Abdul'baha

sahbam16- I believe there is a lot of truth to this quote. In many parts of the world women are still not seen as equals. It needs to change. Thank you for your answer.

I like the quote from the scriptures

Do not let evil overcome good but let good overcome evil

and this one which almost like he was given a dream through the Holy Ghost to predict the future.

It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.
    Albert Einstein
I love that quote, as he is so right, and only God could have known this.
