Were you told not to ARGUE about Relgion as a child?
Many people were I would like your honest and accurate answers!
Yes, I was taught it was rude to talk about politics and religion because they only fueled negative emotions in people. I wish more people were taught this.
Not exactlu what I asked however this is good, it is appropriate if someone asks us of OUR faith, however I do not discuss Politics at all. There are many private issues, children need to be taught at HOME and School, and to make up their own mind.
Yes, I was taught to never argue religion, but on here I have gotten into debates with non-believers and even those who believe where it has turned into personal attacks against me. This is when it has gone too far. Now, realizing how easily it is to get a "debate" started, I try my best to avoid it. At times I do fail.
No, it was never mentioned in my household when I was a child. As an adult, however, I hate the vitriol that comes with those kinds of arguments, so I avoid them like the plague.

What do you argue about more than any other subject?Every one of us has something that will get us railed up more than anything. Something that will anger us when others bring it up or speak for/against it.What sets you off? Which subject will anger or upset you more than anything?

Can anyone really argue against a faith based belief?A good friend of mine was just trying to dissuade me from my beliefs. And he was quite good and convincing. But alas we agreed that if my beliefs were founded in my faith then arguing was pointless and that it was just the way it is. And likewise...

Have you noticed that it is only Christians who constantly argue about God and his will? Why do members of other religions have a consentaneous interpretation of the Creator and his will?

Why do people of different religions constantly argue which is the the "true" religion? It seems like a never ending cycle. It seems like a war of words. I became caught in it at one time myself. I don't know that anyone will ever win it?
