Your point of view is shared by many I have spoken with. Also, I agree that we had better make the most of the one life we have...If everyone did, the world would be a sweeter place.
A belief shared by many, and I do see your point...thank you!

The soul does not die but the shell of the body does and we get a new body when we reincarnate, just as Jesus said. We don't stop learning, but can repeat the same lessons until learned in other lifetimes.
Interesting, thanks! I never thought about it that way before.
Did U know that each individual cell is "programmed" to be certain cells? Like Heart cells are prgrammed to be the heart, beating without the aid of another. Same with Nerve cells, ear cells and so on. The body is made before we enter it.
Eric - reincarnate means to "re" - again "in" enter into "carna" flesh - to return again into the state of having a body. So, yes, in those traditions that believe in reincarnation, it is exactly the eternal soul that incarnates and re-incarnates.
Thank you much Sid. Are we Latin or Greek there? One would think the word would be more Hindi in origin.
I thought our cells regenerated in totality every so years. I also know Christians have a notion of "born again". Reincarnation.

What a wonderful and simple way of explaining! So, in a sense, the soul lives on, but doesn't "jump" frm one being to another...
