That is true and bothers my heart too. Children are not even taught to think of anyone else and most don't I fear.
I couldn't agree with you more beth; and it is so very special when we can involve children to give thought to such things. I was simply brought up that way; to me it is just second nature. I don't spend nearly as much for groceries this way-saves $.
True, too bad governments are not worried about survival of the people. Look at all the countries that once flourished using your points. People did not starve. There were no homeless.
Karre Schaefer says
That os all we can do really, if everyone would.
Good point and I have to agree on that. One of their parties would no doubt feed countless homeless. I do think though we could all cut our groceries just a tiny bit to help the hungry. We know our government could care less.
Pigging-not the answer.
I agree most of us could do with less and feeding the hungry is a noble pursuit. But how would it be implemented, who pays for distribution, who qualities, who monitors abuse. It is so much more complex than just being willing to give.
Well we sure couldn't trust the government to do it, as we all can see. But surely there is a way with people who care and if an eye is kept on the running of it.
and some that are starving because they reject God

I know Ronilo and that is such a shame with money wasted on so many things. No one should ever have to go hungry.
I am not Catholic, I was simply asking others opinion while giving mine which I believe to be Christ guided. Thank you for your holier than thou answer and I believe you might have missed a few scriptures yourself you may want to check out.
Christ guided means there are scriptures to support it. And self righteous, I dont think so, but then opinions are a dime a dozen and one of them and two dollars will buy a cup of coffee most places.
We can all read the scriptures and come away with different ideas as to what it means. Through our love of Jesus though He teaches from through heart and always from love. He would not have us talk mean to anyone and we are to be an example of Him.
only by scripture taught by the Holy Spirit can we all see the same interpretation and those not baptized in the Holy Spirit will never properly understand scripture. Maybe you need to check what Jesus said to the H priest and to the money changers
I have indeed read those scripture along with the others and yes Jesus did sometime use harsh words with people such as those, but He never told us to do that in any scripture unless you can name one for me?
from your statement it appears you are one of those that need for Jesus to say whatever you want to prove? That is untrue.
Prov 15:10 Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, And he who hates correction will die. and you called me names
Did you have the scripture for me for those we should talk mean to?
Jackie: I think the book you're asking for is Meanaviticus. It's a very long book. The most devout spend their lives mastering it, and boy how their condemnation flies...
Must be the one cela has. I'll pass.
Yes, God does tell us exactly what we are to do as far as feeding the hungry in Matthew 25:35-40. And in Rev. 12:10 Who accuses? "For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down."
Thank you dear Faith for those scriptures. I am sure out Father does not want us after each other in these last terrifying days.
No, He does not dearest sister, and we know who it is who loves to cause division among brothers and sisters. God bless. In His Love Always, Faith Reaper
