   How hard is it for you NOT to judge based on your own standards?
   
   There are times when I have to work hard on NOT judging others based on my personal standards. This take much effort on my part. Many time we see our ownselves as better than another and yet, we often forget how God created us all equal. Everything from the jobs we have to the cars we drive seem to identify us as different or better or less than someone else. Our ideas of right and wrong even varies from person to person. Sometime we even set a standards for others higher than we do for ourselves. So I ask, is it hard for you to remembber we OUR all created equal?

      Yes, the value of human life is equal. However, talent, physical attributes, intelligence, etc...are not present in every human being in an equal way. I was interested to know what you meant by "created equal."

      CalebSparks- We all come into this world the exact same way. So know one has an advantage.  As we go through life what ever physical and mental attributes we each have will still have it's limits. We can't exceed what God hasn't given us. We're equal

   Grace in us: We are all created equal in the eyes of the Law and of God. A serial murderer rapists thief psychopath is not equal to me in the eyes of man. You are doing well attempting to be God like in your judgment but friend be careful who you let take your child for a drive. Be careful and judge who you follow. Be careful and judge who you defend.
   
   I do believe there is evil in this world. I judge that for me and my people.
   
   I also judge what evil I choose to take on and what evil I wipe my feet of.
   
   I am not saying I do it right but so far I have kept my friends and family safe.

   It's easy not to judge others. My standards keep changing. I'm not so attached to any of them.
   
   Some standards are more permanent than others -- like Love!
   
   You can recognize that someone is showing hate and not love. You can act accordingly without judging them. This is "judging" the action, but not the person.
   
   There are some things that are absolute. These are found in the spiritual realm. Some things in the physical realm appear absolute, but they are not. When Jesus walked on water, he proved that. And I have seen similar miracles.

   There are personal standards (relative) and absolute standards. Standards are used as a gauge to see whether we have lived up to them. Most people who judge others as less than themselves base their notion on their fallable personal feelings, or ideas about something. Absolute standards do not rely on emotions, favoritism, etc.. because they do not change because somebody is not feeling it, or says otherwise.
   
   Feelings don't change the facts; therefore, making a judgement on an absolute standard gives no precedence to personal standards.
   
   It could be said that the value of a human life is not a personal standard, but an absolute one. If it is an absolute, then by what do we gauge it?

      PandN-The only absolute standard I know of is the one Jesus deminstrated during His ministry. Which is one we all fail to reach. You could say it was His personal standard. And yet He was the only perfect man ever to be judged by our standards.

      I do not say it is possible. But I know men who strive to put their personal standards in line with Christ. And those men seldom stumble. It is true also with judgment.

      Someone  who claims to strive to live by a standard, but has no intention of wanting to do so is a hypocrite and rightly judged as one. Willful ignorance and two faced idealism are selfish characteristics of a double-minded individual.

      PandN- You have a valid point.I don't believe judging other is as much a problem, the problem lies when one is a hypocrite in the process. The word of God does allow us to judge,but where one crosses the line is in hypocrisy. Every one has standards.

      Because I fall short of my goals,,,, I should not judge a rapist and hand over my daughter to him? This makes no sense. Lack of perfection means we are dog meat? A man who tries and falls short in not a hypocrite.

   It is impossible not to judge another by the standard you have set for yourself.....
   Just as it is impossible to set a standard for another which you will not apply to yourself.
   
   So when you condemn another, you also condemn yourself, and if you free another you free yourself...
   
   Just as if you condemn yourself, you will condemn others and if you free yourself you free others.

      Kess, why is judgment condemnation. Can we not judge another in love? Can we not judge like the Good Samaritan and judge that we can help? Our love is a standard by which to judge. Question your minister for she has taught you judgment is condemnatio

      Eric- I believe what is most important to realize is were are our personal standard drawn from. All if not most are drawn from one's belief (faith). And not all are the same.

      It is a lie to say that you do not judge. You have formed an opinion, or conclusion in what you just said; therefore, you have made a judgement. Additionally, judging doesn't have to be synonomous with condemnation or disrespect.
