   I think it is about going to a place of worship and pray in group.

   I cannot subscribe to the mob mentality that organized religion protrays. This mentality states that only those that belong to their organized system are right and others are wrong. It is this claim of superiority that causes conflict among people because those that claim to be right usually cannot prove why their system is correct yet they will fight tooth and nail to defend their system.

      Thank you so much Deepes Mind. Some say if you don't belong to their church you are wrong. That's not biblical. A Christian church would say believing Christ is Lord and Savior is the only way but is not saying your wrong not attend their church.

      Not in the least. My views are exactly that.. MY views. My views are the views that are currently working best for me and may not apply to everyone. I do not push my views as a universal truth, unlike others.

   I was asked to leave.  My son has Autism.  They felt it was something I had caused and he was too undisciplined to participate with people who follow God's word.  (Because they don't feel those things happen to people who live above reproach.)

      Crafty, that is utterly terrible. Shame on them. But not all churches are like that. I don't know what kind of church or denomination you went to, but I think many Christian churches would not feel that way. I am sorry for the pain caused you.

      I have found most all churches around here are very legalistic.  They feel that only perfect people are welcome.

   I spent 25 years in Pentecostal happy clappy Church but in the end found it boring, pointless, and empty. It was full of people who emotionalised life experiences and individual instances, who had a strange notion that even insignificant things had some deep spiritual significance. I got fed up with having to put on a plastic smile and projecting an image that 'I was going on with the Lord'. I got completely bored with the herd mentality, the need to conform to expected norms of Christian behaviour and church doctrines. To ever question what was preached, to ask why we had to become a Christian clone, or to ask for evidence for the supposed presence of God, was tantamount to backsliding and in danger of losing salvation. On the surface people might have thought they were individuals but in reality people had to conform and buy into the vision of 'expanding the kingdom' by whatever plan the leadership came up with.
   
   Since leaving Church I am totally and utterly free. I am answerable to nobody except my wife and kids. I can now be true to myself as the shackles of conformity, social standing, and the opinion of others have been broken off.
   
   I'd encourage any Christian to consider going freelance; it's liberating.

   Well, I guess at times, when they place too many manmade rules that one must do this and do that or someone may look down on one.  Or want to put on appearances and one must dress this way or that and such.  When we must be mindful of exactly who it was Jesus hung out with ... 
   
   Plus a lot of rituals and traditions they feel must be followed just because that is the way it has always been.  To me, it is all about a personal and intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 
   
   Some organized religions get too caught up in having the best of this and the best of that and comparing what they do to another church down the road, just in an attempt to get more people to attend church, when really, we can worship anywhere together, under a tent, even ... although we do attend a church service that is "organized" to worship with other believers, but it is the personal relationship with Christ that we must not forget and not worry so much on doing everything of man so perfectly within the confines of a church building's walls.
