Have you found God's purpose for your life?

I believe I have found God purpose for my life and that's the spreading of the gospel of God's Kingdom to as many who are willing to listen. We each have a purpose. And I would think that there are those who have more than one. There are even those who don't know therir purpose for being here. And for them maybe their still searching. But the one thing I do believe God gave us all purpose whether we know it or not. I will delete any insulting or sarcastic answers or comments.

Good question Graceinus.  I do have many purposes.  Don't take this as boasting either please, because it is a challenge to do it "all".   Serving is my number one and it doesn't matter if it's poverty, suicide prevention, mothering or something else. It's just simply serving. I find it the most rewarding of all things on earth.  Helping others. And believe me, I fall short many times.

These are my biggest passions of purpose and to no glory for self.

    1) A voice for poverty in America.  Yes, there are people who do not have running water, or EVEN OUTHOUSES in THIS country.
    2) Serving elderly people in love.
    3) Serving children in love (the older I get, the more challenging it is).
    4) Being a good mother.
    5) Serving God in any way. He's the boss of it all.
    6) Being a good and loyal friend.
    7) WRITING, WRITING, WRITING and did I say writing?  lol.
    8) In my lifetime, I would like to see Leonard Peltier freed.  (Personal passion).
    9) I would like to see the Cherokee Trail of Tears incorporated in Missouri's History books since the trail came through Missouri!!!!!!!!  And was not in my daughter's Missouri History book in 6th grade!!!  (She is 13 so it hasn't been that long).
    10) I would also like to see (I know this sounds petty, but it isn't to ME) a correction in America's version of history - How did Columbus "discover" America if there were already people here????????????

Those are just a few of my passions.  Sometimes I am impatient for God to change them into "purpose".

For a year, I was waiting on how to be a voice for poverty in the U.S. Yesterday, He gave me the answer.  smile

I believe my purpose was to raise my two children, and to support my husband. He was a Lutheran pastor for many years until retirement and I was his support team (as he was mine) through many stressful times.

And I believe we are all supposed to be spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Yes - I have discovered that I am to live through truth regardless of the propaganda being tossed about. Through the teachings of Jesus I have discovered that I must endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  I must engage the affairs of this life so that I will please him who hath chosen me to be a soldier.  I must strive for masteries lawfully.  For my hard work I will be provided the fruits of such labor.   Through my labor, the Lord will present me with  understanding in all things.

I am not certain if God has just one purpose for me in this world. I think there could be many things to be done through me and I am up for it... So, I would rather continue living as per his principles rather than trying to find the purpose.. .If I can love his creations and appreciate this life then I could have found my purpose..

Savio Dawson-I believe there are times when people live the purpose for their life and not realize it.  It's what make each of us different. Many thanks.

I have indeed found God's purpose for me. I have experienced addiction, homelessness, poverty, loneliness, heartache...I wondered why God allowed me to keep waking up when all I wanted to do was give in. Now, 4 clean and sober years later, I volunteer on a regular basis and I am a substance abuse counselor. I help anyone who needs it just because I can...and that feels good today. I never doubt His intentions for me anymore.

How do you know for sure that spreading the gospel of God's kingdom is your life's purpose? Is it your own self-appointment? Did you get any clear inner voice (something like the voice of God) that told you without ambiguity that it is your life's purpose? Or is it simply the voice of your ego?

Hindu saint Ramakrishna says that to preach others, one should have the "power of attorney" from God. Else, no one will be truly interested in one's preachings nor will it produce any lasting effect.

C.V.Rajan-It took me about 10 years of deep study in the Holy Bible to finally realize that when all is said and done the bible main focus boils down to ONLY four things. God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and God's entire Kingdom. Thank you.
