Yes I am.  We are all flawed, but most of us are basically "good", meaning we don't purposely seek to hurt others, we can empathize and put others ahead of or equal to ourselves. I believe part of what makes me a "good" person is my desire to help others and also my ability to accept my own flaws and work to correct them.  I think when we accept ourselves and take accountability for our actions we become better human beings - and also more capable of seeing what is good in others.

In all honesty no one is wholly "good" or completely "bad" - some very nasty people have done good things and vice versa, some mostly good people do stupid things that are hurtful at times.  On the whole though I would say I am much more good than bad smile

Having known that a man is known by him the most than any other person, I say that i am good. I behaviorally and physically not hurt anyone. I never brag about the things i have and don't under estimate anybody. We can judge ourself whether we are good or bad by estimating how much we hurt others as well as how much we hurt ourselves.

I am a fair person. Not good nor bad. My basis is that I have substantial faults, but have enough good in me to even it all out.

Yes I am and I believe a majority of the people are good, but circumstances and society can make it difficult. No one is born a bad person, but if they are in a horrible  living situation they can be made angry and bad.

This question reminds me a bit of when Kirk Cameron goes on the streets of America and asks such a question, well, he puts a bit more, but really the same question, and adds the point of ...being a "good" enough person to get into heaven.  Anyway, to answer your question here, sure, as far as the world's view I am a good person, but in reality, I am a sinner and in need of a savior.  Have we all not lied, stolen, cheated at some point or maybe daily, even in little ways.  In God's eyes, sin is sin, and society has a different take on sin and places a degree so-to-speak on the specific wrong.  All I know is that I am not good enough to earn my way into heaven, and that is why I need a savior, Jesus ...but that is really not what you are asking ...

I believe that ideas of good and bad are social constructions. However, there is a classic stereotype of what is good and bad, therefore I would be falling into the 'good' category. Many people define themselves as being 'bad' without actually realising its real meaning. But as I mentioned before, these are two large ideas and ideologies formed by social constructions of reality. If society classifies a certain behaviour as 'good' and you happen to fall in that category, you've been labelled as a 'good person'.

I try to be as good as I can and help others with the same level of passion.  I never hurt a person and will help one to the extent I can.  Even if we can't do some favours, we should not hurt others.  Try to be honest as can as possible.  A good person will never hurt or feel other guy inferior to him.

I don't know if I AM a good person, but I try to be every single day. Some days I fall short. Other days I feel that I did all the good in the world I possibly could do.

If you really think about it, it shouldn't be that hard to be a good person if you take each choice you make and think it through, but for some reason, as easy as that sounds, it is just impossible for me to make all of the right decisions all the time.

In an organizational behavior class, the book said that behavior is a function of the person and the environment. B=f(P,E) which was developed from the interactional psychology that says to understand a person's behavior, we must know something about the person and the situation.

People vary in many characteristics, including cognitive, affective, motivational, and ability factors. One must also consider that there are two interpretations of any situation; the objective situation and the person's subjective point of view of the situation.

Long story short, I try hard every day to make good decisions, even in the most trying times because not only do I owe it to others, but also to be a good role model for my children.

judge it as you will but here is what scripture says.
Mark 10:18  "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God
Luke 18:19-20 "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
    NKJV
According to Jesus there is NO natural good in any man. So in me or You without the baptism of the Holy Spirit there is NO good.

If Jesus (the man Jesus) says  only God is good than any goodness can only be found in us by virtue of our relationship With Jesus Himself (God).

If anyone believes there is inherent good in any man then he is deceived.
If anyone believes there is inherent good in themself then he is deceived.
Jer 17:9   "The heart is deceitful above all things,
    And desperately wicked;
    Who can know it?
    NKJV
