We need not have an opinion on that. He Himself told us: Love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Excellent my Brother.
Then perhaps my question should be how can we apply this in our modern day world? How do you apply said teachings?
My own view is that, to find his path, each person must start there and then go wherever it leads him. There is no general rule of application, or none I ever have found. A's way and destination may be completely different from B's.
Mostly correct, but we read books written by inspirational people. So we can learn from others. My own spirituality was triggered by reading a book called Autobiography of A Yogi, by Swami Kriyananda. Still, excellent input and shows insight.
The main focus of Jesus Christ message during His entire ministry was the Kingdom of God. The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 was focused on God's Kingdom. Many of His parables started out with the words " The Kingdom of Heaven is Like." Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) "But seek FTIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added to you."
Just in the Book of Mathew alone Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven (God) 36 times. And yet Jesus spoke on the subject of Love only 10 times in the Book of Matthew. He spoke on the subject of the Sabbath only 8 times in the Book of Matthew. The words Tithe or Tithing is never mentioned at all by Jesus Christ or anyony else in all four of the gospels.. All of the 10 Commandments were never mentioned by Jesus Christ, only 5 of the 10 Commandments are mentioned by Jesus in all of the four gospels combind.
When you include the other three gospels ( Mark, Luke and John) Jesus was teaching on the Kingdom of God for a total of 73 times.
What I find very odd is how little most christian "churches" teach on this subject of the Kingdom of God and yet it was the main focus of Jesus Christ's ministry.
Good question.
Yes, My Friend,
I totally agree. Indeed I have agreed with you on this before. Still, I like Brother Attikos's answer as well as he is reminding us of the tools we need to get to the Kingdom. Both nice answers.
Both very nice answers. Interestingly enough, but Graceinus comes over well, but I rather like the Love aspect without which the Kingdom would be a very distant Journey

Will God allow anyone into His Kingdom if they try to follow the 10 Commandments in their life time?I believe the issue of Grace vs Law is an issue that needs to be resolved. I brought up the verse that God's Kingdom was WITHIN you. Some person whom thinks they are a Bible Schalor told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and I didn't think I knew who Jesus was talking to. Yes I know who Jesus was talking to. He was telling the disciples...

Can you explain your understanding of the Kingdom of God?I truely believe there are a large number of different understandings of what God Kingdom really is. I am wondering how many out there have the same understanding. What do you think God's Kingdom is and is not?
