Thanks for sharing. To further elaborate on your point, we have removed the fear of God and shame from the American vocabulary. Sin is nothing but an acceptable form of habit that God winks it. Sin has the power to destroys lives and it does.
correct-- all scripture works together

William E Krill Jr says
well you have it partially correct
Rod Martin Jr says
yes I lost a dear friend that was assured by his "hireling pastor" that it was ok he did not need to repent for being a drunk because he had "Walked the aisle" as a teenager so he was saved. such garbage from the folks in the pulpits.
I completely agree. So much so that I could have written what you wrote. I want to please him because I love him. I don't feel obligated. I don't feel forced. I obey because I LOVE him! :)
So spot on. Thank you for your commentary. I really appreciate it. The Truth is not very palatable to some people and unfortunately that will be to their downfall. I learned that the error of my ways was due to twisting God's Word to my liking.
melissa, sister, keep standing on the truth and following HIM as you are doing then there is no worry

Kelly Kline Burnett says
That is very true. God has done miracles in my life.I am forever grateful but even at my lowest point when I was poor and seriously ill, he never left my side as I meditated on the first verse of Psalm 23. The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want."
Presenting it that way to marginal or non-believers is a disaster approach to evangelism. Jesus led with love and compassion, even for the worse sinners. Only after they experienced healing did they come to the conclusion that they should change.
where do you find scripture to show "with an open heart you cannot disobey God's love for righteous"? scripture tell us the one thing we are NOT to trust is our heart. Jer 17:7-10
They all make this stuff up as they go along. Very dangerous to believe you know what The Creator of The Universe wants.
RA I have nothing more to say to you, I do not waste time with fools

Rev. Akins says
We can do nothing to earn our salvation. You're right. What bothers me is that we can show how little we care about our salvation by throwing it across the room and having it affect our lives very little if at all. I do believe we can lose it.
Jesus says its harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom than a camel thru the eye of a needle....blessed is different than being blessed with money....being blessed means God prospers all you put your hand to...but if you are not with God in spirit
good word Melissa

Seems to me that 'original Christianity' was more about love than condemnation.
How do you come to that conclusion? The original Christians started tearing down Pagan Temples as soon as they were strong enough then proceeded to start fights with everyone. Where do you get the "love" from?

Jerry Lynn Hayes Sr says
So saving you from the Scary Super Daddy makes you "good" huh? He who obeys believes? Sounds dangerous to me. Obeys what exactly?
Sorry Bishop, I am a sinner (disobedience) and always will be, but I am a believer, and am saved. The witness is in his forgiveness and continuing to love me despite my being unworthy.
...‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Mat 7:22-23
krill- if you are a sinner then you ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN. Yes Christians do sin but they do not do it as a lifestyle. scripture says we are no longer sinners (were not a people but are now God;s people)
Col 1:21-23 1 Peter 2:9-10

Righteous Atheist says
I believe the exact opposite. I tried your path briefly and lived like the world and my soul was crushed and I never ever want to go back there. Prov 9:10 The fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. God has helped me crush so many demons.
How sad for you. There are no demons. The fear is why you are the way you are. Crushed.
Unfortunately for you, I am not crushed. God has made me whole and complete. I feel strong like an eagle. The healthy respect and fear of God is what brought me back to peace and contentment. There are demons. Trust me, they are real.
No - they are not real. Your fear is plain though. This is why this religion invariably causes division and conflict.
You cannot prove they are false. This is simply your belief and for whatever reason, you wish to believe there is no GOD so that you may be your own God. Many Kings have felt your way in the Old Testament. Pride always comes before the fall.
Why would I need to prove this? All you need to do is look at history - 2,000 years of conflict proves it just fine thanks. I don't want to be my own god. Prove yours exists.
Assuming that God doesn't exist, Righteous Atheist, did you create yourself or were you created out of nothing?
Satan is behind the conflict, God's fallen angel, and you know what started it all. PRIDE. Satan thought he was too good and he loves the fact that you blame God. God is love and that is what Jesus teaches too!! Study Job Chapter 40. :)
Satan? God is powerless? OK - all the fault of an invisible bad guy - nothing to do with your divisive beliefs. LOL
Laugh all you want. God will not be mocked. We are created by God for God. Satan is not an invisible bad guy. He is real! We are surrounded by a spiritual world whether you like it or not. :)
Not mocking god. I am mocking you. Your beliefs are divisive. Prove Satan exists. This is why your beliefs cause so much conflict.
when you mock a child of GOD, you mock GOD, and melissa, this person has no desire to know the trueth, so dont waste your pearls on him. we are not to strive over words. once we see they refuse to hear, it is time to shut up.
How ridiculous. Mocking a child of god is mocking god? How very, very, very special you are. Is your god gonna git me? And no - I don't want to learn what you have to teach. It most certainly is not the truth.
You make good and valid criticisms of Christianity, RA. But it is not a faith of hate, but a faith of love. One big aspect of love is tolerance. Because I am imperfect, I condemn no one; it's not my job. Not all Christians are the same.
Sorry - history doesn't agree. Any faith that thinks one set of people burn in hell for all eternity is a faith of hatred.
RA-- sorry but you will learn the truth too late when you and your father satan are cast into the lake of fire. you have no excuse you have been warned so just go your way and enjoy what you believe. sadly you are legions
how can u be an atheist and know what religion is..besides religion is what Jesus was against as it was unperson-able ..God enters your heart and changes you from the inside and is very personal..to your soul...as an atheist you chose to live without

Can you prove Christianity is a myth? The gospels were eyewitness accounts. This is not how myths are made. This is how you uncover evidence and record it. Luke examined the witnesses, interviewed them, and checked out the facts.
The gospels are not eyewitness accounts. The Christ myth is very similar to many that came before it. Nor is "Luke" an actual person.
I beg your pardon. They are eyewitness accounts. Luke is an actual person. In fact, he was a Doctor. Stop spreading lies. There are two forces in this world good and evil. Deny it all you want but its the Truth!
Please do some research. Luke is not an actual person - and even if he was - that would be hearsay. Don't you believers check ANY facts before believing them?
Yes. First we have to agree on what 'proof' is and once given is it to be accepted. How do you define 'proof' in this regard?
melissa do not argue with a fool. it is a waste of time.
Prov 18:22 A fool has no delight in understanding,But in expressing his own heart.
Ps 14:1 The fool has said in his heart,"There is no God."

Interesting - it is all about hating what god hates huh? And that is playing the part of a good christian. Thanks for explaining that your religion is all about hate and playing a part. That is what I always thought.
that is neither what she said or meant. You are mocking God and that is not a good thing, you will see one day how foolish you really are. Pray that day comes before it is too late to repent.
Ah - I wondered how long it would be before you started threatening me with punishment for not believing garbage. How very brave of you. Well done you hiding behind the internet. No wonder your religion causes so many fights.

Its not just your heart....Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. (Deu 6:4–
May I ask you: What does it take to be a Christian? In other words, what are your duties, as a Christian?
To be a Christian, you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He is not one without the other. Love him! Obey the ten commandments as best as you can. Repent when you mess up. Fear God! Do your best with the Holy Spirit's help.Flee from evil!
How can you worship a human being?
and there in lies the problem...if you do not believe CHRIST is divine, you think it is wrong to obey a human (yet we all obey someone in our lives. in faith we believe CHRIST is divine, part of the GODhead, and thus it is a pleasure to obey HIM.
What do you mean by divine? What makes him different than you and I?
CHRIST was with GOD from the beginning, all things were created by HIM and through HIM. you and i are not gods. HE is.
What do you mean by beginning? Do you mean that God has a beginning? And also who do you mean by HIM? God or Jesus?
have you never read the bible? i use the term beginning because humans are limited in their understanding, and i mean JESUS. if you wish to discuss this topic with me, great, but may i please suggest you read the bible so you will know what i mean
Okay you read the Quran, I'll read the Bible. Fair?
I must admit I do love to see 2 different cults arguing over which cult is the majick juju. You can't both be right. There will always be conflict surrounding these irrational beliefs.
missmelissak is now saying the dangerous theology is correct?
mahfoudh, by your response i now see you are not interested in learning, but are merely trying to provoke arguments. this i will not engage in. as for my reading the quaran, why should i? you are the one asking about my beliefs, not me about yours
I'm not asking about your beliefs, I'm showing you how wrong they are and trying to lead you to the right path. Two of us, the three of us, are wrong. That's the inevitable truth. And that's how we're gonna stay if we don't free our minds.
I don't believe in dangerous theology. I believe in Christianity. God is love and I will not argue the point anymore. Have a good day! :)
mahfoudh, you will never convince me i am wrong in my beliefs, no more than i shall convince you that you are wrong in yours. so let us agree to disagree and leave it at that, shall we?
Fearing something is "love"? No wonder you Christians are so aggressive. :( I do make good points so I understand why you won't talk to me. The Truth is painful isn't it? ciao
It's like saying: "I know I'm going to Heaven and I know you are going to Hell, but I don't care. I'm all what matters." I'd never do that. But since you did, I can't do anything about it. Therefore, have a great life.
Your words are wise and measured, Mahfoudh. So too, in Christianity, both faith and actions are important and need to be balanced...it's just that many Christians do not present the Gospel that way. Salaam.
mm you worship a dead man. Actually a demon son of satan, Christians worship a living man that died for them and was resurrected for them, your muhammed was an evil man and is still dead. I will worship the living son of God.

Nowadays when questioned about sin, the responses are "It's normal." and "It's not like you're going to burn in hell." I say "Woah, woah woah, how far have we fallen from grace, dignity and reverence. We no longer fear God. We do what feels good.
sin is normal-- for a carnal person, but a Christian is no longer a sinner (carnal person), we have been redeemed and tho we may sin we are no longer doing so as a lifestyle. We abhor our sin, repent and get away from it.
