What did Jesus Christ mean when He said; "And the truth shall set you free"?

What truth was Jesus referring to when He said these words and does this have any connection to the Spirit of Truth? Jesus also said in John 18: part of verse 37 (NKJV) "Everyone who IS OF the truth hears my voice." What does this mean, " who is of "? I have my opinion but I would like to hear your's.

Yes, taking responsibility for ones thoughts and action and not blaming it on others weather they be humans, animals or a God or a Satan. Most religions do NOT teach these things.

I agree with that. Look at the times he lived in. Religion set guilt trips but Jesus said God is You and everything is in you and so is the Kingdom of God. Not in a book or in a church. Be careful with your thoughts and Love others as yourself.

DAvis36- Thank you for your answer. God sees what's in our hearts. Even when we are led by the heart we still need to follow in the right direction. I hope you will some day take the time to read and study the bible. It will touch your heart. Thanks.
