Scripture says Jesus' stripes were taken for our healing. What do you think that means?

Jesus' blood was for our salvation but scripture also says His stripes were taken for our healing. What do you think that means? Isaiah 53:5

I have personally always considered it to mean two different things. 1 and 1; so it would be hard for me to see how it is 1 is 1 and 2 is also 1. I will try to look at it the other way though and study that out. Thanks for your opinion.

I too like the King James Version. It sounds more powerful. But the explanation is very good and is able to fulfill its purpose. I would not make a big deal about the different version of bible that was used.
