Do you think Jesus will return in your life time?
If you believe in the Second Coming of Jesus, do you believe it happen while you are still alive?
Your question is good one, but I prefer not to think about it, because for me it does not really matter.
Rather than spend time guessing the time of His return, I'd like to put that effort into enjoying His invisible presence now.
If I develop the closest intimacy possible with Him now, the entry of His visible presence will just be a bonus surprise whether it happens before or after I die.
According to "statistics" I will be gone within the next 25 years or less. To be honest with you I have never been one to feel like Revelations, the second coming, or the pending end of the world needed to happen in "my lifetime" to effect my life
Have you ever seen that bumper sticker that says "Look busy! Jesus is coming!" Well, I think we should always be doing God's work - whatever that is he's laid before us. It shouldn't be "Look busy!" It should say "Keep busy!" Anyway ... I believe any day could be the end. That could be tonight, next year, or in the next century. As the Bible says, "No one knows the day or the hour." I don't know if he'll come while I'm still alive, but if I am, I'll be working until he tells me I can stop.
Great answer, and as Christians we should all have that attitude!
As a young child I was always on the look out just in case He appeared and I was really certain that the Second Coming would be in my lifetime. Now I'm not so sure about that and feel that it's better to concentrate on life here and now and preparing for the glorious here-after.
Very well said, and yet we need to be aware of the "signs of the times" and be prepared for His coming. I still believe that because of world events that Jesus will come soon
Ms Dora's answer is quite cute. Would you be ready, HVW? It may be worthwhile pondering her answer and making sure that all the 'I's' are dotted, and the 't's' crossed before He comes. After all, we do not wish to be left out, do we? Much peace.
You have to be careful with this one. People have been predicting the return of Christ for nearly 2000 years, and it hasn't happened yet - but the Bible says He's coming "soon". In 2011, Harold Camping predicted Christ would return on May 21st, and the world would be destroyed October 21st. Obviously, neither one happened - yet he managed to dupe his followers into cashing in their life savings to advertise this event on billboards.
I was raised to believe Christ could return any minute, but have since realized even if it happened, selling everything you have and standing on a rooftop waiting makes no sense. Just go on about your life.

Do you believe or think that Jesus second coming may occure in your life time? This is a question that has puzzled mankind for the last 2000 years. As bad as world events seem to be at this time, are these the signs of endtime approaching or do you believe events have to be far worse than we see...

Do you believe in the second coming of Jesus christ or not?

Will the second coming of Jesus be considered a reincarnation of himself? There are those that believe in the second coming, as spoken in Revelations. There are those that believe that, yet don't believe in reincarnation. If he comes back as himself, does that not count as reincarnation or...

Paul talked about the return of Christ in his letters to the Thessalonians and many scholars hold the view that Paul believed Christ's return was imminent or at least in his lifetime. However the vast majority of the Church believes His return is yet to come and therefore we have a problem. Either...

Actually, Jesus did not prophesy incorrectly, according to my beliefs. People's interpretation of what the second coming is is incorrect. The second coming is the state of Christ consciousness that Jesus was exampling to them. Some of his disciples were able to become Christ minded to a great...

As Christians: Those of us that are Christian, We are all aware of the first coming of Jesus as a baby. There is nothing to dispute about this. We are also aware of His crucifixion and resurrection. Here come the mirky part for me. Mary Magdelene goes to Jesus tomb and discovers it empty. She sees...
