   Why do you push your religious beliefs on other people?
   
   I believe in God, but I do not push my beliefs on other people. I would rather get to know the person who does not believe in God and show them the ways in which he works in my life rather then shove him down their throats. I would rather get to know the person who does not think the way I do in hopes that I may broaden my own mind. To me, showing rather than telling gets more reception than telling people. While I'm at it, talking WITH people always gets more appreciation and understanding than talking TO them. Think very carefully before answering, I am very interested in your answers.

   I don't have any religious beliefs that revolve around a certain denomination or book. I think everyone has their own spiritual path, and their own journey. I think those things should be kept to yourself, because they're so very personal.
   
   That said, it really angers me when people drag their religious beliefs into discussions about laws and public policies. Nine times out of ten, I don't share those beliefs, and I think many people who are atheist, agnostic, or not of the same belief system don't want the laws and policies of their country dictated by someone else's religion.

      Yes, it gets very sticky for people because religion can be the foundation of their life; everything is based from that faith, which makes it hard for people across the spiritual spectrum to agree on things because of the major differences.

   I am a devout Christian. With that said, I would also say that Christianity is not merely a religion but a relationship with the Almighty Creator, Jesus Christ. There is too much at stake to just keep my beliefs to myself. There is one and only one universal truth. After weighing all the possibilities of various world views, Christianity makes the most sense to me as described in the Bible. There is much to say about that, but I won't bring it up here.
   
   On one hand, my faith and logic tells me that God's eternal kingdom is purely exclusive to only those who accept and trust in Jesus Christ while the rest will receive judgment in hell. Again, this all makes perfect sense to me and am not merely accepting it because a book tells me so. So, you can see that my beliefs compel me to share this truth with everyone like a doctor finding a cure for cancer and advertises it to everyone.
   
   On another note just as you said, it is often better to talk WITH people rather talk TO them. I usually try to reason with people by asking questions and analyzing their thoughts and asking more questions. My desire is to get them to think critically and challenge their world view. I believe it to be a dangerous thing to concoct our views purely from our hearts. Speculation about who God is or is not is like playing Russian roulette with a semi-auto pistol. We must receive special revelation from God to know who He is and what He is like. God does desire us to know who He is and that's why He sent Jesus Christ, because He is the perfect and exact imprint of God. Jesus is God incarnate. The other revelation we have from God is His word, the Bible, which of course also gives description of Jesus.
   
   I hope you find Christ to be the Truth and the only means to salvation--eternal life with God while escaping Judgment and the wrath of God.

      I don't have time to fully comment on yours but I appreciate your comment and understand a little more now. Just so you know, I am actually a Christian and believe in God very much-Just curious why some people push SO hard on others. Thank you!

   In my religion proselytizing is considered very rude, and we do not seek converts. If our Gods really wanted someone to know about Them, They're more than capable of getting that person's attention.
   
   But as someone on the other side of people's proselytizing, I can say that you are right. Proselytizing turns people off.
   
   When people try to push their religion on me, and tell me my own experiences are somehow invalid because they differ from theirs, all they're doing is proving to me that they don't know what they're talking about.
